I want to paint my room a checkerboard design but I have no idea how. Any suggestions?

Bones, probably the easiest way would require buying 2 things beside the paint, brushes, etc. You'll need a piece of wood, lineolum or a ceramic tile, and a level. Put the square up to the wall, make sure it's level, and trace it. When all the squares are drawn, label each with the color it's to be so you won't get a nasty surprise and be forced to re-paint because the pattern failed somewhere along the way. Once you're absolutely sure all the lines and notations are right, use painter's tape around all the blocks of one color and paint inside the tape. When it's thoroughly dry, remove the tape and put new tape around the squares that ar another color and do it again. If you start at one edge and finih at the opposite edge, you're done! Be sure to hang on to some touch-up paint in case you need it someday. So what made you decide to live in a pair of Vans?

I never thought of that before. That could be my new slogan "Hi my name is ___ and I live in a pair of vans". :) Thank you

Enjoy every minute of it! I don't really know your purpose, but I'd make an occasional square some very different color(s) just to keep things interesting!

hi himyna.......i'm no expert. just an idea. maybe you could use masking tape strips and map out the checks with the tape. measuring the spaces of course? the tape would help one way or another. happy painting...green.
