I have a good friend, who talks non stop about himself. It gets on my nerves, he doesn't think about anyone elses feelings or what I care about. Its all about him and how awesome he is, and how cool he is, blah blah blah. Every night when I get online to talk to my real friends, he bombards me with messages, then when I'm on messenger, gets on several other screen names to talk to me. He always says he has to tell me a story, or needs a friend. I think I'm probably one of his few friends. He calls my cell at all hours of the night, and is getting under my skin. I hate being mean, but its to the point where I can't stand it. I even tried hiding out for a few days, with the phone off, then he just comes to my house!!!! What do I do?

avoid him . do not respond to his words. that way he will come to the point of understanding that every friendship is a dialogue and not a monologue. if still he does not give up his attitude, stay away and do not meet him.

Wow. I feel your pain. Sounds like you have a very self absorbed "friend." I think you should just be upfront with him. People like that don't ever think that they are being a pain because the world somehow revolves around them and they feel like you should be there for them at the drop of a dime whenever they want you to be and they dont return the favor. Just let him know how you feel because otherwise he will keep doing the same things over and over again. One day you will blow up unexpectedly. You can only be nice for so long. So just think it out about how to approach him. Then go from there. Hope it works out.
