I have always been a sucker for any movie involving martial arts especially if it stars among others Jackie Chan or Jet Li.And what more could I have longed for than collaboration between these two actors (who incidentally are also my favourites for martial art movies). I watched their latest effort in the forbidden kingdom it seems a little interesting but in my opinion it only depicts how age is fast catching up on these two stars and in all honesty, I was not so much impressed as I was looking forward to an all action movie without a mixture of magic. I just hope they can do something again in the likes of police story or the body guard before they retire .what is your opinion of this movie?

I personally enjoyed it and liked the story line. My 9yr old daughter didn't want to go to it and I made her watch it anyways. After we got out of the movie she was thanking me over and over again for making her watch it. She has now decided that she wants to do martial arts.

I think the movie was meant to be light hearted and not a "deep" movie.

I am not a nit-picker when it comes to sped-up, real, wirework, whatever it is, kind of martial arts movie, I like them all. Jet Li, Jackie Chan, Donnie Yen: the top three martial arts actors right now....each of them have acted solo and against each other in one or so movies in the past. They were all good. If you like to see their battles, check them out: Donnie vs Jet (Hero), Donnie vs Jackie (Shanghai Knights).

I saw it 2 days ago the forbidden kingdom, and in my opinion it was a very good fantasy action martial arts film. I liked it too because it resamble the famous anime dragon ball, in fact the monkey king is the story based on Dragon balls Goku (the monkeyking)

The legend of the monkey king is an actual chinese folklore that span centuries. Dragon Ball Z is based on the monkey king, not the other way around.
