I have this simple question for the pro
, Do i get paid by mylot by uploading photos
? I am confuse by images and photos, Which is which, I get paid by uploading images in my discussion or I get paid by just uploading my personal photos? I hope someone can answer this, I am a little confuse right now.

Here are some notes i found while browsing through the FAQs and you can also find more if you try to do it yourself. It's great to know more and to ask for help isn't bad. But if you will try to go though the FAQs and TOS, you will learn a lot about mylot.
[i]Make sure the photo you are posting is relevant to the discussion. You will not earn if the photo does not relate to the topic of the discussion.
Discussion activity earnings are calculated based on a proprietary model that rewards quality responses, relevant discussions and images.[/i]

Hi lilaclady, well I guess I need to upload only in interest section and in my discussion posts. I never thought that we get paid in the interest section

yes oliver,
as my friend lila said that you will get paid for posting pictures and photo on the mylot.for each picture you will get 1 cents.its not much amount but you wil get earning.the payment you get for interest section.not for uninterested section picture posting.so,this thing you have to keep in my mind while posting the picture on mylot.

I am not sure about 1 cent for each picture, according to my calculation its not exact 1 cent maybe it depends on the picture how relevant the picture base on the discussion. If I am not wrong, uploading photos to your album in your profile will NOT earn you any money. They also will not be paying for people who view them on your profile.
But when you upload an image to support your discussion, those you get paid. And if people view them, you get paid as well.
But don't go around posting pictures in every post and reply you post here. You will get banned for reckless posting.
One member got the ban due to this. So moderate your images upload when replying to posting.
The other way is to post pictures in the different discussion topics. Those, I think you get paid for. But I am not really sure. Need to find out from the FAQ. Email the admin if you want more clarity.

That is good that we are able to learn from each other.
Right now, I am wondering, if I were to post pictures in the topics that are relevant, then I link those pictures to a blog or another site. Will I get paid for those pictures that are flashed in the site or blog?
Am I violating any rules if I were to promote the pictures in a blog or a site?
What if I promote the pictures in a traffic generator?
Any idea? FAQ are not helpful in answering my above questions.

Hi ahgong, Yes it is really nice for each and everyone of us helping each other specially when it comes to a sticky situation like this. Yes FAQ don't give you clear understanding about your question but that is a great idea you have there, if mylot will implement such feature. But I guess doing so needs so many legal matters involve. That sad that if you view each profile we don't get paid, I hope they will pay is us with that activity in the future . You get paid for uploading images and/or pictures in discussions and responses and comments only. You do not get paid for putting pictures on your profile. I have averaged it out to about 2 cents per upload which isn't a lot but not too bad as it doesn't take long to upload. It is in the link that says add an image, that we get paid on. I have noticed that a lot of members don't do it, and put a lot of pictures on their profile instead, but they don't get paid for those. I have just recently learned how to upload a picture as I didn't know before and with the help of my friends here, I learned how to do it. So here is a picture of the mountains we visited and hiked in last weekend, just to show you an example. Since I am uploading this in a response I will get paid for it.

And as you can see it doesn't always work. So now I am posting it again and hope that this time it works. I have been having this problem for awhile now, not always working, and yet I look at it to make sure I did it right, and then when I post it, it is sometimes gone. Oh well. I am trying again, I hope it posts this time.

Hi Oliver, I think you get paid for uploading any picture/photo into a discussion, either one you post of in a response but you don't for any pictures/photos you upload into your personal profile. Someone else probably knows more than me on this as I very rarely upload pics anyway. Ellie :D

Yes You get paid for uploading photos when attached with a posting. You don't get paid for photos you upload on your personal page.

Hi oliverdt.
Well, i think my response would only be a waster when you have already got so many responses clarifying about the issue.
Image earnings are related to the pics that we upload on interests.Adding photos to ur profile doesn't credit you anything. And u do get paid for uploading photos, either you upload it in discussions or in interests.
Actually there are 3 ways by which you can earn via uploading images. You can upload images in:
1) Interests
2) When starting a new discussion
3) When responding to a discussion
However, there are restrictions on the number of photos, you can upload in a day. I dont know the exact number, but earlier it used to be around 7. I am not even clear if this restriction still exists, since its been a long time i uploaded that number of images. Anyway, we would hardly get some 2-4 cents for uploading around 5-6 images.

yes, mylot will pay you for uploading photos, you should upload your own photos, that's what they have in the guidelines actually, that you are the owner of the photos that you will be posting..at least that's what i remembered.. photos of yourself though is not advisable.hehehe

Ok so after reading through this discussion I can see that you do get paid for posting a pic in your interest or when you start a discussion and also when you reply and what I am wonder now is i know that I am able to post a pic to a topic i post but how many posts do I have to reach before I am able to post a pic with my replies?

Oh ok yeah I am getting close to that mark of 500 posts now and can't wait to be able to copy and paste will make somethings so much easier and well i guess there is only one way to find out and that is try it when I do reach 500 and thank you for that info

Because if you made 500 post you also have the ability to copy and paste contents from other word processor. Try to reach 500 post and hopefully you can upload your photos when responding on any discussion here in mylot. Anyway you are to closed reaching 500 post see you already have 450+ post. Good luck.

Uploading photos in your discussion and your personal page accounts for something. From my experience, myLot considers uploading photos as participation and they pay you a couple of cents for it depending on the quality and the description that you make.
