This user is breaking a couple of rules...what do you say?

I have come across a certain user that is copying and pasting the same response to all discussions they're taking part in in a certain section! I know because they have posted the exact same response on a couple of my discussions and lo and behold, I was looking through a discussion and found the exact same response and when I check their profile page, they have made at least 10 responses of the same on similar discussions. No doubt, these posts will be deleted, as looking at the guidelines again just to make sure this is indeed not allowed, I came up with the two below.. DON'T Post the same response to different discussions even if the discussions are related or similar. This type of activity will more than likely harm your reputation rating. Post similar or identical postings. Stealing posts from other users or posting the same thing over and over again will not help your myLot earnings. Multiple identical postings, even if legitimate, may be considered spam. It looks like the person has been on myLot for a year and you'd think they'd know not to do this and it is quite noticeable, no doubt myLot will notice.. I hate to be one of those 'self-appointed myLot police' as someone put it.. so what's myLotters' take on this?

It's in the guidelines that we are supposed to reort violations so I don't see what the problem is. Report the user and move on. This kind of behavior seems to be a common occurance and the user you're talking about may be the one I reported several times last week for the same violation...further proof it takes more than one person to get a user removed.

It may well be the same one you reported..maybe it's a test?! Doesn't look like the ones on my discussions were deleted and they're still posting the same response elsewhere..

Yes, that will be a right thing to do, set an example and the rest who ever think of trying, will think have to twice first. Mmmmmm....I am just curious who is that person

Nope, I just checked and yours is a different one but it's not the first time your user has been reported either. I don't know why some users keep getting away with it and others get banned quickly.

Marina, this is more than just an inadvertent error, obviously. The guidelines ask that we report such abuses. If I knew who's doing it, I would. So I think you and anyone else who's noticed it should report this person.

I know it's really difficult to decide to do this. I only ever reported one guy who was way, way, way out of line. I think he thought this was an "escort" service. Maybe some people think that's what social networking is, but he was certainly not what myLotters are!

Hmmmm, that is not good. After year you would think they knew better. but of course they could just not care either. so i have a question. If someone is doing that in like 5 of your discussions. and they go to delete the commment your discussion doesnt get deleted to right?... i mean i dont see why it would BUT mylot has done a few things here and there and i dont see why they did. so im just wondering.. because if that is the fact. i would a mylot police on this one. because hes done it to more then just 1. that takes away from your rating from your earnings. not to mention everyone elses who also responded to your discussion. it could just become a mess. and anyone who who gets mad for you turning this person in... WHO CARES! your just looking out for yourself and for thoes other memebers who posted in your discussion. That sucks when people do things like this. why cant they just follow simple rules... I think mylot should give one wanring and if found do the same thing over they should be banned... that would save us all alot of headache..

I think these days (from what I've read in some posts), they delete the particular comments and not the entire discussion. Of course people will still wonder why they lost a few earnings.. User's been reported they're at it today too!

Good day.. It's sad that people cheat just to earn an extra bucks and hurting this site's system of payment. I mean that person can earn as much without cheating if he'll be creative and patient like the rest of the members. Why should that person resort to cheat? Well, like all things in life there are rules and when broken there are repurcussions.

Yes, that's right.. he'd probably earn more and waste less time (as those will be deleted)by doing it the right way like others

It is indeed a waste of time and wonder why the person does it if they know myLot may indeed delete them. They are also trying to be a bit clever about it by posting on older discussions as well..

I believe that if they are cheating maybe their earnings and copy/paste option needs to be taken away. If they don't learn but that. Maybe they need to be banned. I am not one to cheat and i have taught my children not to cheat. As for that I have learned by watching cheaters never get any where in life and sooner or later they will get caugght and get what is coming to them.

Cheers diansita, I think that the signature is ok, it's the entire post and each word for word and a few sentences that this person is doing happy posting!

well, I think there are people who think they can cheat mylot by doing that. Yes these post will be deleted. I think they are doing that because they believe that they will earn more if they do that. They dont care of the rules and guidelines here in mylot. I have seen a lot of response like that. there are some who even copy the response of other mylot member then post it as their response in other similar discussion. i think mylot admin know about this and I believe they will do something about that.

It is quite silly to do that, I mean it's cents..they do add up but if one gets banned, then what did they stand to gain? not to mention how unfair it is for those actually putting in some effort Cheers for the response, interesting user name you got there

according to the discussion ,we should have our own responds and opinions, maybe we coule have a little in common, but when we express what we think of ,our thought would become colourful and terrific, well ,i mean we could express our true feeling and it coule evoke our wisdom ,after a long time ,we can have our own thought.

Personally I am here for the socializing part and making the few pennies in the mean time is not bad. I answer posts that I am really interested in and give the response some thought, like now. This person is abusing the rules and giving any thought to his responses. Cant if its the same one to everything. If I post a discussion I am looking for reall answers or real advice etc. I obviousley wouldnt be getting it for them so would be cheated as I do read every responce. I think he or she shoud be reported.

Hey mariana, I keep hearing this quite often. I haven't noticed it myself yet, but quite frankly if I did I'd report it. It's not fair to people who are following the rules that someone copies responses over and over again after being here a year and knowing the mylot rules and is still getting away with it. I'm sorry this really isn't right and makes me angry. When is this sort of behavior going to stop altogether. It has been brought to mylots attention by other members. I'm still kind of new (6 weeks) so I guess I'm not as adept at catching things yet.

Definitely the post will be deleted by MyLot. Perhaps he did not read the guidelines. He should read them all. I got to read the guidelines on the second day. But I did read them, I hope everyone does. Thanks for sharing.

I would report him, but I would not likely do it as he might be the I am right you are wrong types and write a post about that nasty mylotter who reported him. It seems that he is lacking in ingenuity. I mean it does not take much to say something different and are not the answers supposed to be geared for that particular post? He might give the same answer to the different posts and get greatly misunderstood. Why I might even be insulted. In fact now that I hear about it, I am.
