Which is safe, Airplane or Boat?

Regardless of ticket price, which one is safe? If I go into Plane and accident happened, as long as the pilot able to manage immediate safety landing, then maybe it is fine, but if not I think it is difficult to survive. On the other hand, If I go into Boat and accident happened, as long as you can get out the boat and go into water and no falling heavy material to caught you in water, then you can be safe, but water is a difficult enemy including the especially shark and wild mammals. So what is safe for you? In the sense that there is high probability to escape when accident occur. [i]All the best,Agihcam

For me if ever I'm not sure if I will survive a plane crash and I'm sure it's a hope less case to be alive. If I'm gonna ride a boat their is still 50% to survive. So I rather choose to ride a obat then a plane. Do you believe that when it's already your time it's your time? Have a nice day!

I think that it doesn't matter which one is safer. Things are going to happen, and luck tends to favor the prepared. I mean, you're gonna run into incompetent people or destructive people everywhere so just be ready for it and there's no worry about your safety.

Well let's see if you in a plane at 30,000 feet and it goes down, you don't have much chance of surviving unless it is your lucky day. Now if you on a boat and they say it is going down, you have a chance of getting into a life raft, or holding onto something in the water till help gets there, just hope it isn't in an area that is full of sharks. I like little_momma will keep my feet on the ground then I don't have to worry. I have always wanted to take a cruise but would have to sleep with my life jacket on as I can't swim.

Air crashes are rare but they do happen sometimes and are always fatal. An emergency landing can be really scary but most often the passengers are safe. Boats do have an accident sometimes and people have to get in life boats or float around with a life jacket on. In some regions of the world the danger would be the cold water and in hot regions of the world there might be sharks in the ocean. Trains and buses can crash sometimes, injuring or even killing some passengers. When traveling I just hope for a safe journey really and so far in my life I have been on lots of planes, boats, trains and buses and been fine. What has worried me is the way taxi drivers go so fast and overtake on blind bends. I think that they will find there are more accidents on the road than there are in the air or in the sea. I wish you safe traveling.

Hmmmmmm. thats a definatly hard decision. you know funny cause yesterday me and a firned were going over one of our huigh rise bridges here in nc and she made the comment. we have one of these back home eccept ours is 3 miles long.. I said i will never go over that bridge. and shes like why?? i said what if the bridge crumbled beneath you,or somoene lost controll of the the car u were in or worse the person next to you and accidentily pushes you in. thats a long swim and i might not make it TO SHORE lmao. And also think. what if you had both kids. so because i know i am not that great of a swimmer and i always have my little girl with me. i would never go over that bridge. Yes plane crashes do happen. but not so often. i think i would choose to ride a plane then any of the other ones...

Hi Agihcam, I have always said I would prefer a boat as I can swim but I can't fly LOL but I do know that air travel is in fact the safest way as statistics show and don't really mind either form. It is more dangerous to drive a car daily. Ellie :D

I think they both have a risk. Obviously a plane crash is more likely to kill on impact but if a boat goes down and you cant' get up on the deck then you better grow some gills! i think I will keep my feet on the ground and dry where they belong! I'm just a chicken and a worry wart.

Hmmm, for me both are dangerous and not safe, but I think the boat got a more chance to survive than airplane, which is only got a very little possibility to survive on it. Unlike in a boat, as long as you know how to swim and the boat accident didn't happen in the middle of the sea, it got a higher possibility to survive in it. But for me, I don't have a chance to live, even if it's boat, because I don't know how to swim.

I think planes are more stable and therefore safer to travel in. Boats are cheaper, but you're always prone to rally bad weather which even big ships can't withstand. I also know more casualties related to boating rather than traveling by plane. If planes crash, there is a chance to land safely somewhere or survive by swimming.

And boat and airplane are not very safety. But on the other hand if the crew of the boat or airplane keep good instructions may be they are safe. All is depending on good and careful instructions and they always must make a tests before they invite the passengers to get into boat, ship, train or air plane. No body can escape unexpected accidents, but they can be prevented just in time.

I believe Airplane is safe. There are more dangers in the sea than in the air. If the plane flies high enough, it can avoid most of the dangers caused by air. But there are so many mysteries in the sea and situation change quickly on the sea, sea can devour anything if it is furious.

Both are safe! both are deadly! Depends on your luck and others who are sitting around you. As far as practically. I think ship is safe cause atleast you're gonna get life boats while in plane they only provide oygen gas and not parachutes coz there is no way out to paraglide. If in case lifeboats are found missing and you get water all around you then its safe too (for swimmers). Some technical knowledge is required for what to do afterwards. Yeah don't depend on others especially when you are in plane. You don't know anything about pilot expirence and other things. Thanks. Jesse.

I think every transportation is risky but if you let me choose,I will choose airplane..Well Incase it wil crash,I will just feel the pain for a couple of seconds not like in the boat, you will still have difficulties and still got the chance to be eaten by the sharks alive...:-0 I can't say that both is safe because it really depends on the situation...:-0 If it's your destiny then you have to accept it...:-0 God bless and have a Nice day...:-0

They both could have a potential accident. Airplanes is still one of the safest ways to travel. Out of Hundreds of planes a day you hear of one or two crashing a month. Boats on the other head you hear about accidents at least once a year. I would prefer planes. If it crashes then pretend its a rollercoaster ride :-) Dying on impact seems better than drowning or being eaten by a shark.

i guess it depends on how you want to die.. if you die instant you can try airplanes, and if you want to die by getting eaten by sharks you go by boat..
