I don't think any person who writes seriously is ever satisfied with her craft. My best advice is too practice, practice, practice. Writing is like any other art or skill. It doesn't get better magically. It takes work! It will depend on your devotion to the form.

There are times when I write a good piece, but there are times when I feel that there is something missing in my writing. I write to make money. If I'm constantly not satisfied with my writing, I won't get anything published and earn moeny from it. I can always edit them later when I feel like it.

im kinda lazy when it comes to writing but i like to express myself so i join forum sites. well, when it comes to writing, i dont think anyone would say they're satisfied with the writing style. there are so many ways to improve that being in just one element and genre is not enough. i have to admit i tried joining writing sites often as a spectator and a reader, not as a writer.

I am my own worst critic. But I don't think people should tell you how to write. There are so many ways out there to write and for me writing is for myself no one else. It is a therapy. So I hope you don't give up on writing keep at it and make sure YOU are satisfied noone else.

I think everyone has different preferences to be considered as 'good' writing. And in particular, your father's preferences are a little strict. So, I'm pretty sure his constructive criticism is what you really want to use in order to impress him. Please don't give up on your writng. I'm very sure you have potential there. If you are up for it, I'd like to read your work. Anything you have. :) I, at first, did not like my writing one bit. I thought I was too, I don't know, EW. Lol. The way my sentences were formed and the vocabulary I used was atrocious. I can't stand reading my old novels. Lol. Now, I've matured a lot, and I enjoy my writing because it's so much better. Have a beautiful day. And please don't give up on yourself!

I think there's always room for developing improvements, whether through knowledge of the written word, increase in vocabulary, or just life experience and further education. I have always loved writing and always try to find opportunities to further develop my writing skills. The Internet is amazing for this, as there is so much information on improving one's written skills!
