Do you consider yourself to be a natural beauty?

A friend at work told me the other day that i was pretty and she seemed like she was being honest, she wasn't saying it to make me feel better or to suck up to me! My partner also says i am pretty, but i think he is bias becuase he loves me. agree that i look pretty, but only when i have all my make up on, my hair straightened and nice clothes and jewellery on. I don't think i am a natural beauty, i think i need a little help! I do not look even half as pretty when i wake up firs tthing in the morning as i do after i've spent even half an hour making myself look nice. So what about yourself, are you a natural beauty or do you need help too?

Not to sit here and be concieted or anything but yes I am. I get more compliments on my looks when I don't wear makeup. Like the other night I went to my mothers and she had visitors from out of town and they kept telling me how beautiful I was and I was feeling like an icky mess that day!

I don't think it is conceited to say you think you are pretty, in fact it is more annoying when people who are obviously pretty try to pretend they are modest about it!

As I've grown older I've come to believe that everyone is naturally beautiful in their own way. Unfortunately, the media has had a very negative influence on young women. They have been duped into believing that only a certain body type, coloring and/or certain features makes a woman truly beautiful. I recently worked with a young woman who models part-time. She is five feet ten inches tall and is a size six, but she has been told on numerous occasions that she needs to lose weight because the showroom samples are no larger than a size four. This doesn't represent the average woman at all. As for me, I do the best I can with what I have and for now that's good enough for me.

I agree that the media has a very negative influence on woman and they way they see themselves. All this size zero nonsense has a lot to answer for!

I guess it all depends for me. When my skin is completely clear, I believe I can be naturally pretty, although without makeup I find I do look younger. But I always prefer the way I look with makeup than without thats for sure! Some people out there are very lucky and dont have to do anyhting to themselves to look gorgeous.

I think the people who don't have to do anything to themselves to look gorgeous are the real natural beauties.

I've never in my life considered myself to be pretty or even decent looking. I guess that had a lot to do with my hair. I always had my hair up in a poney tail so my hair never looked good. I didn't know how else do my hair. I never had my hair down because it was wavy a little and I didn't like that. But once I discovered a flat iron straightener I started having my hair down. Now I have my hair shorter and for the first time in my life I actually like my hairstyle. So I beleive that the hair was my main problem. Now when I look in the mirror I see that I am quit possibly pretty. I don't wear makeup, so saying that without wearing makeup I believe is a good thing.

I think I am a very pretty girl but I like wearing makeup to make certain features of mine stand out. I think makeup enhances my natural beauty and confidence when I go out. Don't feel bad nobody looks great when they first wake up. Everyone has natural beauty.

I agree with you, i feel that wearing make up enhances any natural beauty i may have. In any case it makes me feel so much better about myself.

I'm not beautiful and I don't try to use any kind of help. I still like the way I look because this is the face I'm familiar with. I don't think I'm ugly. I'm just okay, I guess.

I think so, and only for this reason - if I happen to be out somewhere and did not even have time to dress decently or wear makeup - or for instance I went somewhere straight from the gym, I always seem to run into somebody who thinks I look great (when I know I look like I've been chased by a murderer for a mile lol). I guess the truth is a combination of what you're most often told by strangers as well as friends, your spouse, and how you feel yourself. Based on these criteria, I suppose I would be. I need a shower at least though

I do not consider myself as a "natural beauty". I know I am *very* photogenic. And I'm well aware that if I get my hair done, and apply make-up, I can be stunning. However, when I look in the mirror when I get up, my hair all insane, puffy eyes, etc. I just don't see what others do. I see only myself. I do think I have some good features. But overall, nah. Not a "natural beauty".

No, I am definately not a natural beauty! I have always needed a bit of help from the make up department when it comes to looking passably pretty! Once I have my make up on and my hair done tidy then I do not look too bad. Without make up I would not say that I was ugly just plain really.

Well God made every thing beautiful in His time. So all of God's creation has a natural beauty. All we have to do is to appreciate the beauty that is given to us by God. Of course using some help like make up or hairdo or jewelry or doing our hair are but ways of enhancing the natural beauty given by the good Lord. There's nothing wrong about those things. Actually, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder so what is beautiful to others may not be to some and vice versa but one thing is sure everyone has beauty because God could never be wrong when He created each of us.

Do not feel confused because of this,I thought that puts on make-up also pursues US's one way.Does not conflict with the natural beatuy, because this is the different style. In our China, one kind of artistic named styles of makeup, this is one kind of very thick strong art.No matter the original person is attractive or not, melts comes out is very beautiful.
