Hi all Do you think there is a technology race going on ? Well first let me explain what I mean: When a product reaches the market, there is already another, or the same company, creating a new improved version of that product.. Do you think there will come a time that when we buy a product, the next day there will already be a better version ? I think we will come to such an age.. And I think it will be bad for the world.. Thx

Its really a race for money. Everytime somebody tops up another millions are made. Its like a way of life, using technology to spin dollars for your employers or investors. Nobody really cares about the world. They care about profit margins.

I don't think there's a race. It's just that technology advancement are fast phased. Its actually good for us because technology will offer us a faster, better and cheaper machines. With nVidia in processor building now to rival Intel's atom, there would come a time that PC component will be all integrated. Upgrade will be things of the past and replace will be the only way to go.

The same company won't be making a new version soon after the product hits the market. Its a common trend that when a company introduces something new to the market, their competitors comes up with same product with minor changes or a modified version of that. We, customers will be benefiting from this as high quality products with low prices will be available in market. If there is no competition in the market, there won't be any improvement in technology or products created.
