Someone Help Me Before I Pull Hair Out!

Does anyone understand enough to explain to me how Feedburner works....I am pretty internet savvy but that whole concept is too complicated. Can anyone explain to me how to put it on my sites in layman's terms? I have put my site urls in there now what do I do next?

I have feedburner on my blog but I think I just kind of got it there through trial and error. Ask your question on the blogging interest group as well, and you might be able to get soemone to answer you intelligently. If you cant you can always ask at a computer repair shop some of the techs are pretty internet savvy.
