I'm 100% sure I am not alone in saying that I spend an awful lot of time on mylot, when I really should be doing something else. Not that this isn't constructive and I am earning as well as having fun, but isn't it just too darn easy to click on that next discussion and slip in a quick reply, or click on your profile to see if anyone has responded. Of course, if they have it means popping in to that discussion to read, rate and reply.
Right at this moment I should be going to bed as I have to be up early, but no... I am sitting here typing away and bet I will be for a little while yet.
Earlier this evening I was mylotting, when I should really have been preparing dinner too.
I shouldn't complain but this site is just tooaddictive!

I agree that sometimes I can spend too much time in here just reading! By the time I look at the clock I can't believe the hour and how many things still need to be done. Therefore, I limit my time here to maybe 30 minutes in the morning and 30-60 minutes in the evening, depending on what else I have to do. I'd like to spend more time, but I don't want to bet behind on my other chores.

Nope I have nothing better to be doing. I have no plans for this morning until 1:30pm when I have a driving less, so I do not have to get ready until about 12:30, so I still have another 1 hour 45 minutes here, since I have done all my other internet dailies etc.
I am quite good at getting off here when I have other stuff to do.

no i should be sitting here mylotting i should be cleaning. but here i sit reading and responding. not that i haven't done no cleaning, i have been all morning. but cause of my back i need to stop every so often, more then most people do, to sit and rest or i throw my back out then i'm no good to the kids. so at least if i'm going this on my cleaning breaks i'm not doing anything bad right? i'm earning a lil bit of money but still getting my house cleaned up. but i like this place i can voice my opinion on things and not see the dreaded eye roll if what i say isn't liked lol. i just wish i could earn a little more then what i do lol.

Hi there.
I too am a back sufferer so I can completely empathise. I know how easy it is to throw it out. You need to rest and so why not mylot!
It is a great place for voicing opinions but you can still get the dreaded eye rolls though

I am presently at work and really should be doing that.
However, this is an office where guys get away with murder.
So, I'm on mylot and thoroughly enjoying it.

Aha caught out reading the posts when you should be working.
Luckily I can't get away with it, as we tell the staff no personal internet use, so I need to set a good example. I know nothing would get done if I could and I would be surfing and mylotting all day. Getting paid twice though from 2 things at the same time. Not bad going!

You are right, mylot is addictive.
When I'm at another site, I get bored, I come back here.
When I'm in my chat room, I get bored, I come back here.
I go to check my email, then I get bored, I come back here.
I'm going to have to discipline myself, though, when I start my online classes. I won't be able to spend as much time here after they start. I have 3 classes this fall semester.....two of them will be online and the third will be in the classroom. Plus I have a fulltime job. Sooooo....I will definitely not be here near as much as I am now.

Make the most of your time while you can now then. I too do that, get bored at another site and come back here. I tend to keep the mylot tab open permanently while online.
You will need to be strong willed to not veer into mylot whilst you are studying. Too easy that one and I speak from experience. Good luck with your studies!
I too am going to be very busy from September as my hours in my 2nd job will increase and I will be training too. I also have my course to finish by December, so I am making the most of the time while I can.

to do that in about 15 minutes.(I hope) But I should already be in the shower instead of answering this question!(LOL)

I probably shouldn't be here. I'm moving on Friday so I have things to get ready for the move. I should take a shower and I do have some things I could straighten up before I move. However, I tend to stay online quite a bit, even if I'm not on Mylot I'm online doing something. It can be addicting, especially when you're hoping that the money you'll recieve will definitely come in handy, especially when you really need it.

LOL I used to be just like you when I joined a few months ago, everything else revolved around myLot. MyLot seemed to just be taking over my life, now however I have got it back under control and I am able to make sure that all the other stuff is done first and I no longer stay up til late on here either! But you are right, at first being here is very very addictive.

Getting back into the real world was pretty good, although I still wanted to get on myLot all the time! I resisted though! I would say that I was spending 9 hours on myLot at certain times, well I must have been because I was responding to 90 discussions every day!!

I have never spent that much time here on mylot but I have spent several hours on a game, but I've never neglected my work or duties.

I really have to force myself to not get on the computer. I get home and get dinner done and then do a few things before I get the kids to bed then I get on the computer. I try to limit my time on the computer to one hour a night but I get carried away alot of times and end up losing sleep. Why is it then when you are line you totally lose track of time. I keep wanting to read more discussions and keep replying but sometimes I am falling asleep at the computer. Maybe I am lucky that I have a job to go to or else I may be on the computer all day.

Limiting time on here takes motivation and I have it some nights but lose it the next. I too try to get some stuff done before I switch it on as once its on its hard to switch it off. And like you I have fallen asleep at the pc. 
I have the internet at work which is not meant to be used personally and its funny how I am never tempted at work, despite the rules, (and being management so can't be caught out by anyone). Maybe it's my brain telling me that if I start at work it will be a very slippery slope!

I think you are 'wise' enough to set right your priorities. Even if you continue to do mylotting, I am hopeful,you do not ignore your other important tasks. Mylotting is undoubtedly additive and many addicts continue to log in here (sometimes missing important things) but what comes to my mind is that one should not feel guilty about it. When one is enjoying mylotting he/she should continue to enjoy it, without second thought. If we do anything with a guilt feeling, we cannot enjoy it. You just keep on enjoying here, but not before you have done with your other important assignments.

I should be heading to bed as it's after 12am but gymnastics is on and I want to watch it (while on mylot LOL). My hubby leaves early in the morning for Guatemala so I want to be awake before he goes. I won't see him for another four weeks.

Well it will be the next day now I presume, and did you get up on time? I stayed up really late in the end and only got 3 hours sleep before I had to get up again.
It's too easy to mylot and watch tv. Hope you enjoyed the gymnastics.
So if you hubby is away are you going to be mylotting even more?

Usually I am supposed to be doing something else when I am on mylot. Not right now though. The house is clean, everyone is fed, the baby is playing happily with daddy. Everything is done. I have some free time (at least a few minutes) so I am here. I tend to come here late at night when I should be sleeping too.

Yes, it is addicting, I can be on here all day if I don't watch it, in fact I should be cleaning my kitchen right now, but I can't get myself away from the computer. I was going to clean it yesterday too, but didn't get to it because I was on here..lol. So I must get off here and get in the kitchen before my hubby says something about it, but I'll always see a discussion I need to reply to, and it goes on and on..haha.

Hi. Hope you got your kitchen done ok. I am in the same boat today. I have some time off work and admit I am being lazy today. My kitchen needs doing although I have made a start on it. I've been good though and have done the hoovering this morning. I am not feeling guilty sitting here, just yet. Give it time.
