Workaholic boyfriend is off for a week and it's killing him

My bf works all the time. 6 days a week every week, and cannot even recall the last time that he took a vacation from his work. when he broke his collarbone and two ribs he allowed it to heal for 5 days and then went back to work! He broke his left wrist last year in November and went back to hanging wallpaper the very next day. The problem is that if he doesn't work he doesn't get paid. However since we live in a town where it can be 115 degrees in the shade we don't have a lot of people with the money for luxuries in the area in August and so work slows down. He has been home the better part of the week and though I have been getting money lately it is galling to him to have me supporting him for this short period of time. So it is killing him and he cannot seem to wait to get his butt back to work, though I am enjoying having him at home, and he is getting to a lot of the "honey do's" around here that he has been procrastinating on taking care of, plus he is getting to watch the Olympics so he should just chill out and relax right?
