i hate myself at times especially if i am doing a lot of thinking for i do analyst every pros and cons of a given situation that i am over doing it most of the time. it's just that i want to see all sides of the situation without me jumping into something in haste. when thinking are you over doing it?

I used to overthink situations when I was younger and wasn't as confident about my decisions or my stand on certain matters. I still try to think things through before acting or voicing my opinion but sometimes things just happen spontaneously.

yeah your right that at times we can't help but think a lot when making a decision or opinions. :) i think it doesn't come only with maturity but with confidence and sensitivity for we might hurt someone on the process. thanks for you post my friends.. :)

that's really true. there are times when i wanted to go back and time and change all my decisions when i was younger. but i can't so the thing to do is look forward and trust God that He can use all of those and make it still okay for me and of course, for all of us. happy mylotting. ~ Shiloh

hi there.. you know what, my friends said that i overthink and i over prepare... LOL... how funny... because it is the way i am.. i overanalyze and my mind is really busy all the time. i just can't decide almost 95% by not thinking about the advantages and disadvantages of a situation or a decision that i need to make. moreover, i believe in making atleast a 50-50 viable return on whatever thing that i am deciding upon. but you know, i have this 5% in me where i can make impulsive decisions but not so dangerous decisions like sky diving or bungee jumping.... ahahhaha... like impulsive buying of clothes and other things.. .hahahahahah.. .guess there's a little impetous person in me... but it doesnt come out often. but you know beign easy going and happy go lucky at times can work too.. i am working to strike a balance between the two... hehehehe...

are you telling me friend that you always wanted to be in a win-win situation? it is nice sometime to make out of nowhere decisions and make mistakes in he process for we will learn from it a lot. :) hope you won't over think most of the time. enjoy life and try to enjoy the people that you come across everyday. life is short and we have to make the most of it. take care and be well. thanks for the friendship...

I am not sure how to answer. I do think things through when I am worried about the outcome and/or consequences of my actions. I will; weigh the pros and cons; go through possible outcomes and consequences; consider all the options (or at least as many as I can think of). BUT honestly...most-of-the-time I tend to "feel" my way through life. If it doesn't "feel" wrong or questionable - I don't need to "think" too much about it. I typically can trust my instincts and emotions. Sometimes...you just have to jump in and try to swim...however, it is NICE to have time to warm up first and find out just how deep the water is...and it is exceptionally nice to have a life jacket or raft (just in case). Great discussion topic, kenchiprincess! Love your thinking!!

i totally agree with you that we just have to trust our instinct or our got feel and make a decision then and there. :) thanks for the post and hope to be friends with you here. :)

I think that is a yes and no answer to if when you are thinking are you over doing it. It depends on what it is you are thinking about and why. Sometimes you have to think about things before you act on it or make a decision because you have to know and understand the consequences of your decision. There are times when I think it is okay to just do it but you have to be comfortable with whatever the consequences are.
