What's the best reason to ask for a raise in allowance? Mine has been the same since high school, and expenses then and now are vastly different. I asked my dad last week and all he said was "Give me one good reason why I should do that".

Are you now in college? Maybe you should try to find a job to supplement your needs. It's nice that your father is still giving you an allowance since you are now out of high school. You must be 17 or 18 at least, so there should be some type of job you can do to increase your income. Good luck

Actually, since you are past high school, I'm amazed your dad is still giving you an allowance. You should count yourself lucky. Find a job to support the extra expenses you seem to have. Even better, you are 18, time to be on your own without daddy's support!

Well besides the price of your expenses you should tell him something like you'll get better grades or things like that. Also present to him how you use up your allowance on a daily basis. Doing so could give you an idea how much he needs to raise you allowance.
