Does anyone use this website? You put the books you don't want on there, and after you put a few on and gain some credits by mailing them to the people who want them (postage is at your cost), you can request books from other members for free. I've never had any problems with them. I've got some really hard to find books on there too, craft books too! Now they even have CD/DVDs on there. If you haven't checked it out, give it a try!

It's definitely worth checking out, you can get some good books there. You can make a list for books you want, and if someone lists them you get first dibs. It shaves a little bit of money off my summer reading bill!

Oh, by the way you shouldn't thank the people who respond to your discussions ;O) This will cause deletion of the discussions and deletion of your earnings for that thread ;O)

You can rate the posters or answer the questions but don't thank them ;O) Another tip: make the discussions longer and your replies to other discussions, too ;O) And you can't earn on your own comments to your own threads so better answer the comments like continuing their posts ;O)

I have alot of books. I could participate in this I guess. I think the books that I have though I could take to my local bookstore and probably exchange theme there. Alot of bookstores will give you credit for books and give you credits for other books. You can also sell your used books. Check out my blog for more info.

I'm a PBS addict..lol. I started there about 6 months ago..and have taken in almost 500 books so far. I haven't spent nearly as much as I would if I were to buy them outright...and believe it or not...it's still cheaper than ebay..especially when you can get a good deal from someone doing a 3 books for 1 credit deal.

What a novel idea!its good to share the books around and to let them be used by many rather than few. There was a stall in the market in Derby that used to sell second hand paper backs,it was a very well frquented stall too!but trhough I often took a look it was rare that I ever purchased a book from there.I much prefer to use the local thrift stores, they have book sales on frequently, they get so many books donated that they do not have room to store them, and then they will seel them off at five for a pound, such a bargain.I was in the British heart foundation the other day,and was shocked to find that they wer charging up to three pounds fifty pence for a book,I know that they have large overheads but that is beyond the pale.If you use some of the discount outlets you can buy a new copy for that amount of money.Ebay is a good place to buy books too, they often are auctioned off for a few pence,I wanted to read `The Diary of a nobody` and I just wanted a cheap copy,I bought it from ebay for next to nothing.

I LOVE PBS! I've had great luck with everything I've gotten from Swap-a-DVD/CD and PBS, with one or two books that I had to ask for my credit back. Most of the people are great and it's really fun to see a bunch of people who love books and love swapping. I've gotten rid of a bunch of books that I would have never read (got them for free) and swapped them for books that I'd been wanting to read for a long time but couldn't stand to fork over the $10 to buy it new.

I have thought about it but I haven't tried it out yet. I don't think I will though. Not that there's anything wrong with it, but I don't think it's that great of a deal. I'd rather just by a lot of books on Ebay for a good price.
