McDonalds' local names

I am just curious about this one, my professor told me a couple of years now that in US they would call McDonalds as "Mickie-D" "MickyD" or the pronunciation is something like "Meekee-Dee" and I don't know if that was true. Well here in my country (Philippines) we call McDonalds as "McDo" or pronounce as "Mak-Do". How about in your place or country? Haha! -Nytrisco

In the UK they sometimes call it Maccy D's (Ma key Dees)

Actually most people in the US call McDonalds, McDonalds. Micky D's is just kind of a slang name. I dont say that very often. It's funny though how different countries have differnet names for the same places.

Thanks for the confirmation. And "McDo" is also just a slang name here in my country.
