What u have to say about depression...........does everyone one of you feel blue everyday???????????/ If yes then why???????/ And what u do to come out of that mood??????????????

Everyone feels "blue" at certain times during his or her life. In fact, transitory feelings of sadness or discouragement are perfectly normal, especially during particularly difficult times. But a person who cannot "snap out of it" or get over these feelings within two weeks may be suffering from the illness called depression. What Is Depression? The term "depression" can be confusing since it's often used to describe normal emotional reactions. At the same time, the illness may be hard to recognize because its symptoms may be so easily attributed to other causes. People tend to deny the existence of depression by saying things like, "She has a right to be depressed! Look at what she's gone through." This attitude fails to recognize that people can go through tremendous hardships and stress without developing depression, and that those who suffer from depression can and should seek treatment.

I had depression. It is hard to overcome. The best thing is to talk to someone who understands, and try to keep yourself busy.

hey its nice that u have overcome ur depression....its really very hard to overcome it and very few people come out of it,it need alot of courage which you showed.........well done .......and the spirit up.......talk to alot of people and u will feel much much better everytime...........

i dont get depressed tht much .. i really try not to be .. for me life is precious and every second is ... so i dnt want to waste my time gettin all depressed and sad .. u will hav better things to do and if u get depressed try not to think abt it .. wat made u desp ..try doin some activity for me is playin football .. i lik tht similarly u lik to do somethin tht makes u active ..do tht and u will come out of it and even talkin to someone abt it mite help ..but it always depens on individuals

yes u r right....I agree with you......and its really very hard to get rid of it.....but not impossible.....and people get cured from this illness.......

I was on medication for depression for awile, its hard to beat. But life is good now.

depressed - cheer up
depression is a part of everybody's life.... just need to get over it.... there might b lot of reasons.....most common is ...love... even i v faced it...what i do... music.....even sometimes take a stroll....it works...

Yes I agree with you.....we just need to get over it .......love,busy with work, creativity are the few most imp things to get rid of depression.

To be honest people in depression are just feeling sorry for themsleves..and they just need some atteniona dn help..i think it's sad..

No, I do not feel depressed everyday. When I do feel depressed, I take a look to make sure I am eating right, sleeping right, Getting enough sunlight or find out if it something I can change or improve and make goals and plans and moves to do so, or if its something I need to accept and do the same. I keep myself active, look at the positive things in life, and find joy in the simple things. Like watching snow or rain fall, or watching a Train, on TV. - DNatureofDTrain

Being sad and being in a depression is different. If you are in depression, it's better to seek professional help.

i have days when i m depressed ,to!and the worst thing you can do in this situation is to stay home!i usually go for a walk and most of the times it s enough! i look around and things start to come in place!

sometimes it does happen especially when everything seem to be going the wrong way. But I guess life is full of ups and downs. And like one of the responder mentioned, life is beautiful, and to me, life is short...really have to make the best out of it.
