In the clinical laboratory, there are several tests being performed to determine the cause of the disease or condition. I'm sure you have gone to the laboratory at one point in your lifetime. What laboratory test were you scared the most ?

For me it has to be a tube inserted up the male organ that is the worst thing I am scared off! Makes me squint and cross my legs to think of it that a tube has to go up a tiny hole, ouch! I nearly had to go through it a few months ago, but fortunately it was only an alternative and all the months of worrying about it and being scared to go through with it, turns out that it didn't need to be done. Yes I agree there are far worst procedures than this but it just makes me feel sick inside thinking about it.

I would have to agree with you on that one. One time, my uncle was in the hospital for some surgical procedure that I do not really remember at the moment. He had to have a catheter put in. They waited to put it in after he was put to sleep for the procedure. When it was time for it to come out, they were supposed to numb him, but they didn't. Can we say OUCH!?!?!?!?

I really do not get scared of any Laboratory tests - I have undergone a number of blood tests, but I find no reason to be scared. Matter of fact is that all you need to remember is that Doctors/ Nurses will not going to kill you in any way and you are not the first person upon whom they are conducting the test. So, where does the question of getting scared come from?

When I was a teenager and got involved with my first steady boyfriend, we decided to take that special next step, and he used protection. When we were done, he discovered a break in the protection. I had an EPT with me, and it showed positive. I went to my doctor where a blood test was done. It turned out negative - thank goodness! I was sweating bullets on that one. Now, as I get older and have the various complications that one gets when their body ages, I worry about testings for high cholesterol, high blood sugar, and many other complications.
