Do you get down on yourself when you don't acheive a goal you set in life?

I've tried to quit smoking a lot of times and never succeed. Just this month I tried again and of course it didn't work. I psyched myself up for it the way they say you should and did all the things I was supposed to and I ended up with a cigarette in my mouth. Now I don't want to hear all the negativity about smoking because believe me I know them. Smoking is an addiction no matter what anyone says and unless you've been there you have no idea what I'm going through....again! Do you set goals in life and don't achieve them? How do you feel about yourself when you don't?

Well I tell you now, quitting smoking is hard really hard and anyone who smokes and has tried to quit will know just how hard. I too smoke, I quit for three years and then foolishly started again, wish I had not because it was one of the hardest things I had ever done, but there you go. I am currently going through the wanting to quit stage, but this time I am cutting down first, I have already managed to cut down to ten a day, and that has been hard in itself but I already feel the benefits from it already. Hopefully I will stop this way or not, who knows but I will give it my best shot. I would not get too down on yourself for this, just set yourself another day and try again and keep on trying. I know I will too.
