Does my son need me?

I often dream that my Mam has called me , It is the weirdest feeling , My back is bad at the moment and I was up through the night , I fell asleep on the couch , And the funny thing is pal I was just telling MO earlier , I kept dreaming Jim had come into the living room and was talking to him but he was still in bed , strange xx

i forget whether have this dream,and i usually forget the dream after i awake,i feel i did a lot of dreams in the night even in day,my memory not well these years ,and i usually forget a lot of things that i have done.

maybe it was because you were missing your son.i think the dreams are a continuity of whatever we thought last before retiring.

Hi Raydene. This has happened to me several times in the past several months. I am my mother's caretaker. She is 91 and counting. So, I do need to listen for her as often as possible. But there have been a few times when I'd hear her call my name loudly and suddenly, like she does when she needs me or is trying to wake me up. I wake with a start, as you did, and go check on her only to find that she is either sound asleep herself or not asleep at all, but in another room. It is the weirdest thing. And, I'm not dreaming about her either - it will be a faint call in the distance, unrelated to the dream, and then a louder, more urgent call that forces me to wake up. It's very unnerving, to say the least, since I don't want to make myself ignore such things because of the very real possibility she WILL call me when she needs me.

Yes, although the kids were in the house but were sick. A mother's intuition. My mom can do this over thousands of miles. I mean we have the Atlantic ocean between us but she still knows when to call because something bad is going on. When my kids were born, my siblings and father said, each time she suddenly started pacing and going over to the phone off and on, long before we called to let them know I'm in labor (which usually was before I was sure it's the real thing, lol). You might want to ask your son, if something happened this morning that made him uncomfortable. Of course you can't ask directly, lol. Just try and figure it out somehow. Maybe he didn't like the breakfast he was served. Something that made him want to rather be at home with his mommy;)

This has happened to me a few times. In fact something similar happened a few hours ago. My 22 and 18 yr old daughter are going out of state today to go see concert. I don't really want them driving all of that way so I could of swore that my 18 yr old told me don't worry mom we changed our plans and we aren't going only to find out that she was gone this morning and there was a message on the frig saying "Bye mom, love you, call us when you get up!" It was all a dream and wishful thinking. I have also woke up startled in the morning when one of my kids slept throught the night (wish is very unlikely). I always run to their room and see if they are breathing! Oh the joys of being a mom. You never sleep through the night again.

you know feel mom and kids are connected by heart may be your son accidently called out to you at that exact momnet, check with him. I have found so many times mother's heart gives her an indication if their kids need them for some reason. It has happened to me often, do check with him and let us know, may be it was just that he bumped in to something and just said on! mom but my bet is surely he did called out to you for something even when he was faraway. It happens to me when my kids are hungry, I just know that they are.

It happens to my mother many times. While we are out of the house working she is the one left at home. She will overheard sometimes we called her but the truth is we are not yet at home. And she will begin to think of us and will text us "do you need me or do you call me" and it became weird. Maybe he needs you and the emotion transfer the call. It happens Raydene.

Raydene, you must have missed your son a lot such that you dream about it. I seldom do dream. I remembered a dream so real that I woke up. I had a big quarrel with a friend and it is bugging both of us such that we need a cooling period. In the dream, something wonderful happen and it appears real, really real that I woke up disappointed to find it is only a dream.

I have that happen all the time. A lot of times I don't even remeber exactly what it was but I know something from my dream startled me awake. You must have felt awful feeling that your soon needed you.

Frequently. If I had a dream like that, however, I would have still called to check on Caleb. Not that I believe in such things. However, if he was .. coincidentally.. needing you at that time you might feel guilty for not checking up on him after your dream.

Definately your son need you because you are the all of things to you. He can't survive with out parents and families. so he must be cared by you and you have to take care of him . be not worry about you child behaviour and be fressh that the child are like this.

I think maybe you are a good mother ,because you always remeber your son,it show your love .But maybe your son is very well at this moment . Sometime i will have the same feeling to ,i have no child but when i am away from home ,i will remeber my family, i will dream something bad happened to my family but at last it improve that i am wrong .so just let it go or ,make a call when you are worried.

I had a similar experience but, I was awake when it happened. My husband had left for work and me, my son who was about 6 or 7 months at the time, and my mother-in-law were home. My sister-in-law came over and she and my mother-in-law left, so my son and I were the only ones in the house. I went to my bedroom to put my baby down for his nap and I was watching my soaps, when I heard somebody yell out my name. I got up to go see who it was but, there was nobody there. I ran back to my bedroom and locked my door. Talk about scary!

Yes I have had things like that happen to me. Have you talked to him, do you know if he is alright? Have you been worried about him for anything, or is he going thru stuff right now where you are concerned. For some reason he was on your mind, maybe you were having a dream about him. I hope things are ok with him. You need some peace in your life, no more heartache.

This is not a weird thing.. a lovable mom is always thinking of her child who is not with her right now ... you are a good loving mom i guess , yes it happens when you love someone too much and it seems like they are always near you.. this has happened to me many times.. especially when my loved ones they come like this to make me feel they are always cherished in my thoughts...

Ray, Have you tried calling him? Just to say hello and to quietly check on him. I have had this type of thing happen. Usually my children are fine, but sometimes they will have something weighing on their mind and need to talk. I think there is a connection between mother and child even after they grow up and move away.

Happens to me quite a bit, generally if my body things I'm oversleeping.

Well Raydene sometimes what happens we love somebody very deeply and think about him/her,this type of thinking is already in our mind and we see that in the form of dream and fully involved in dream like talking ,laughing etc and wake up while dreaming as u said.It happens to every body in their life,after waking up we realise that it was just a dream.

every child needs his mother most than a father ...
