I am finding competitive sports to be so frustrating, especially with this year's Olympics. Both my daughters are playing rep soccer. They love soccer. My younger daughter lives and breathes it. But watching her play all summer and get trounced game after game is very frustrating. Both my daughters are playing on what you would call "losing teams". They may have won a game during tournaments, which don't count towards the standings, but in the regular season they have been lucky to have a couple of ties. My younger daughter finally pulled off a trouncing of her own on her birthday (8-0). But it has been so frustrating to watch. Not only are our Canadians not winning very many medals, some were deported back to Canada for some stupid reasons the Chinese government came up with so they didn't even get to compete. It's dang frustrating. My older daughter is going for her Black Belt in Taekwondo. Her instructor thinks she should be on the National Team. Does that mean the Olympics some day? I don't know. She comes home from every tournament with a medal or trophy in both categories. It would be great to see her in the Olympics some day, but heartbreaking if she came up empty. On the other hand, when it comes to the winter Olympics, Canadians rule!

Sounds like your daughters keep your busy.. I'm looking forward to when the olympics come to B.C in 2010... We'll kick a$$.. I'd love to be able to go, but i'm all the way in Ontario. I'm hoping for a lottery win. GO CANADA!!!!

I'm in Ontario too so you won't be seeing me there in 2010 either.
