The last drops of Summer

Are you sad that summer is almost over? I am, which is really unusual for me because I don't like the Hot weather at all. But this year, since I retired last October, I don't have to work out in it and it doesn't bother me as much. Also, I have been enjoying going to the swimming pool with my grandson a few days a week. So, even though Spring and Fall have always been my favorite times of year, I am going to miss Summertime this year. How about you?

I am still waiting for our summer to start here in UK,
It has been appalling again and we have hardly had any decent weather at all, in fact today has been cold and I commented to my hubby that I did not think it would be long before we had to start having the heating on again.

I'm really looking forward to summer ending, just because I am going to be starting graduate school. Up until a day or 2 ago I was kind of apprehensive about this, as it is going to require a big move. However, I feel like I'm ready to start something new in my life, and for me, that happens in 2 days. But... I will be sad when summer is over too, as it has been a fun one of seeing friends, going out on weekends, and even traveling overseas.
BTW, its been over 100 the last few days where I live, and that pool sounds really good...

It;s weird because I haven't given much thought to the end of summer as it is still August and this year seems to be going so fast. I don't like the heat and humidity we have had here in Ohio June and July so the slightly cooler weather of the last week has been wonderful to me a Brit (it now feels like a good English summer). I love the fall here as its not too hot to be outside gardening I just dread snow snow and more snow like we have had here for the last two winters.

Hi Overhere, yea the weather has been hot here this summer too, but it hasn't bothered me since I don't have to work outside anymore. I used to work on air conditioning Units and it was usually outside and on rooftops. I love the fall also with its mild days and cool nights. I do not like snow as a steady diet, but once in awhile it still fun.

Yes I am so sad that summer is almost over. I will surely miss the warmth of sun, beaches and most of all bearing some skin during summer. Its good and such a comfy feeling of wearing clothes whatever you can just grab in your closet without worrying that you might freeze to cold outside your home.
