Do anger songs help you calm down or get angry?

Well...I am very short-tempered. When I get angry, I just listen to angry songs...Sometimes, they help to clam down my anger and sometimes, increase the anger. What about you...?

funny, but it really calms me down... i actually would love cleaning my house with an anger music in the background. it keeps me up. maybe because my angst were transported to the music itself. =)

It varies for me sometimes. It may just anger or irritate me to hear angry music because I'm so furious. But sometimes, I can choose an angry song and "be angry with it" and shout my heart out. It's a way to relieve anger by shouting it all out...when no one's around of course.:)

For me, it is a mixed bag. Sometimes angry songs influence my anger and other times these songs give me a clear understanding of how harsh life can truly be. People should listen to Eminem with an open mind and a willingness to absorb his unique perspective. Sometimes an angry song can make me disturbingly peaceful and judging from your question, I am not alone in this reaction. Anger always serves to teach a person something if they are willing to listen to the lesson.

I usually end up getting even more angry. I find that it is best to not listen to angry songs when I am angry. It's best that I listen to soothing songs such as birds singing or soft and slow classical music instead when I am like that.
