$36,099.00 for a pair of jeans?

From what I saw on ebay, they are a pair of Levi jeans, from 1890. The buyer is no longer an active member on ebay, maybe she reneged on the sell. The beginning bid started at $9.99, how it got that high is anyone's guess. I really do not see why someone would pay that amount of money for an outdated pair of jeans. I know they are vintage, but still. Maybe a museum would be inrested or an antique dealer, but for the lay person, I don't know. Well, anyway, I do not think the person purchased them, the sell was over on 7/31/08.

Theres nothing to get shocked on , its from the 18's century and it has to cost that ,. nothing shocking !!

That's insane. 36,099. for a pair of jeans?!? I'd definitely buy a car if I had that amount just lying around. It's denim! You wear it and eventually they'll wear out or get too small. There's gotta be something special about these jeans...do they make you look like you've lost 20lbs or somethin'? The most I've ever spent on jeans was around $70. I was still in high school and I hadn't realized yet that name brands are just that. Jeans with a huge price tag just because of the label they're sportin'.
