Exercise

How many of you exercise? If so, how many days and how long? Also, why do you exercise and what type of exercises do you do? I started exercising at the end of July and I exercise every day for 30 minutes. Monday, Wed. and Fri. I do Cardio kickboxing, Tues. and Thurs. I do Pilates and on the weekends I do a mix of pilates and some cardio dance mix that is high energy and fun. I have also started walking a couple of miles a few times a week on top of the exercising and hope to move it up to 3-4 miles everyday in addition to my daily exercise regimen. I started exercising to tone my muscles, get more energy and basically just live a healthier life style. I am also trying to eat healthier which is very hard but I know I can do it :)

I go to gym 3-5 times a week and am usually there for one and a half hours to two hours. I wlak most days as well for at least one hour usually. When I go to gym I use the free weights and the weight lifting machines and the cardio machines. I usually do 20 minutes -30 minutes of cardio. I also do ab work with machines and the swiss balls. I vary what cardio machines I use. Sometimes I will just use bike and other times I will use bike for 15 mins and treadmill for 15 mins etc.

ooo, Turbo Jam, gotta check if my gym has that, I really wanted to get into Yoga, their is a lot of different classes offered and spinning sounded cool but I so far have stayed to just the gym. I went from really loving the elliptical machine to running on the treadmill and now I do that for an hour at least four times a week, I am so glad to be back to running because this was my main exercise before I had kids and had a lot of time to do that, that and biking but I do not like the bikes at the gym so after the gym, I go out at 11pm and ride my bike, I like the way biking shapes your legs and I know it works to keep you fit and in shape because that is how I did it all along before kids so I am trying to keep to it even though scheduling around my kids is challenging and with school. My other exercising is pushing my kids around in my jogging stroller, its a Schwinn double jogging stroller and bike trailer (never used it as bike trailer). I take my kids up this road, its all uphill, and at the top is a park they can play at when we reach it, its a good 3 mile walk up.

Sounds like you are doing good. Sometimes I am really good about working out, and then I will go into a dormant period where I don't work out for a couple of weeks, then I start back up again. I love working out, I just sometimes don't have enough time or I spend too much time on the computer, I really need to start making exercise more of a priority. I like to do Turbo Jam, it is a very high calorie burning workout, and when I am doing it faithfully, I can lose weight easily without even dieting, it is really affective.
