"knocking" or "ringing the doorbell" but they were looking inside the house. I don't know if I have to open the door and ask but what if they were those bad people who have evil intentions? What's the best way to handle this? A little help please!

First off if they are not knocking or using the doorbell and just peering in your house. Lock your doors if they are not already locked. Next call the cops and tell them that someone is peering in your home. However they might not do anything but send someone out hours later. Depending on how they feel about peeping toms or if they really care. Other than locking your doors and making sure that the windows are locked if they lock there is really nothing that you can do. And please don't try and be a hero.

Hello Sharie. Does this happen once or twice? If these strangers has been lurking and keep checking your house. Be weary. Try to have a phone number handy,or a hotline for help and emergency. So you can call that given number if these people come back again. Try calling your friends and invite them over. Besides normal people or even friends just doesnt walk right to your garden without being invited or at least knocked. Well, unless if they call someone in name and doesn't know where the doorbell is. hehe
Kidding aside, try to be vigilant. And report any suspicious people around in your area to the nearest police. It will help lessen the crimes, and any untoward incident to you and to your neighbours.
