Getting a new pet after lsing a muchloved furry famly member

My mother in law had a dog for many years that she just lost. It was very hard on her. She's decided no more pets because its too to difficult to lose them. How do you feel abou this? I like th eidea of giving an animal a loving home even if just for a few years.

After my last dog Reggie. no more pets. I still cry when I think of him....and there would be no dog or pet that could replace him.

Awww. I can understand that. For now I can't imagine it, I've actually lost many in just a few years. And its not just that it would be too hard but because it feels almost disloyal.
