Right to have kids?

I know of a young woman who has had 6 children taken from her by CPS because she uses drugs and does not take care of them. All 6 of them are by differant fathers, and I might add that the fathers are not fit either. The kids are all in foster homes. She had a 7th baby about 6 months ago. I heard from a very reliable source that she used drugs during her pregnancy. However, she apparently did not get caught doing so because she has the baby with her at this point. Last week I saw this woman in town and I over heard her telling someone that she is pregnant AGAIN! Every since I heard this, it has bothered me. My question is-- When is enough.. enough? Should a person be allowed to continue to have babies only to have them born into this situation or have severe problems due to what they were exposed to during pregnancy? Why? why? why? why would anyone keep doing this? If they are too selfish, stupid, uncaring or just too high to stop themselves--Should they be forced to be sterilized or imprisoned? What is your opinion?

people like that don't deserve to have children. they should be sterlized.there are so many people that want children who would make great parents i don't understand why sorry people like this woman should be able to keep on bringing little innocent baby's into her sorry world.

I know it might sound harsh-- but I have to agree because I have seen some of what those kids have went through. I just don't think that is what God wants.

i personally believe a licence should be issued to parents as some of them are just not fit to have them. If they cannot mind and provide for a child they should be steralised or forced to take contraceptives. there are good people out there who would kill for the chance to have kids.

Well, we can't call ourselves a free society and forcefully sterilize women. Still, I understand your frustration. Just think of these children and the adversities they face. How tragic is this?! The answer would begin with helping the mother with her challenges and this would most likely be voluntary at this point. Enough is enough, i agree, but where does one begin with a situation like this?
