Do you play any instrument? And would you like to?

Well, I'm a music lover. I'm the kind of person that listens to almost all the genres of music. And, also, I really like t play'em by myself. I have an acoustic guitar and an eletric guitar, and I play them for like.. 4 years. Recently, I bought a violin, on which I pretend to focus myself really hard. I also have a harmonica, but I really don't know how to play it (That's a hard instrument for me). At last, I have plans (or dreams) to play sax, transversal flute and cello.. But in a remote future, 'cause I'm really out of time (and money). And you, do you play any instrument? And would you like to? Which one?

I am definitely a music lover and when I was in the seventh grade I played the trombone in the marching band but that did not last long, and I also tried to learn to play the guitar, right now the only instrument I can play is the Harmonica but I would love to learn to play the drums someday, because I am always drumming on stuff to the beat, and one of my old friends told me I had the potential of a drummer because I can drum to a beat.

Percussion is definitely not my kind of instrument.. I can't keep a beat even when beating with my hands in the wood, for example, which is kinda shameful. =x But, if I try to make a rhythm in the guitar, I can do it. Well, varies from person to person. =)

I agree it does vary from person to person, some people are good with keeping with a beat on drums, while some are good with the guitar, and some are better with instruments like you see in a marching band, have a great day, good luck in your life, and Happy Posting.

I play guitar for a year and an half now, and I really love it. When I was young I played the piano, but I wasn't very talented and I didn't like it that much, so I quitted. Besides playing guitar, I would like to play drums. But first I have to prove that I've enough time for it, so I have to work well in school. But when I have the time (and money) I'm going to learn to play the drums.

Yeah, I heard that drums is an instrument that requires quite a lot of practicing.. The friends of mine that play it usually train for at least some hours a day. I really don't have much time to practice and so.. Must be because of this that I play guitar for like.. 4 years and, still, don't know how to play THAT much.

In my early, school band days, I played five woodwind instruments, alto sax, tenor sax, baritone sax, clarinet and bass clarinet. I have also learned to play a bit of the keyboard. Now, I pretty much only play clarinet and recorder and, I shamefully admit rarely. Reading your post reminded me of how much I love to play music and I might get my clarinet out tonight. :)

It's good to see when your post touches people, even very lightly. =) I forgot to mention that I have a keyboard at home too, but I don't feel motivated to try it.. Must be because piano fascinates me so much more.. And I'm terrible at "blowing" instruments!

Yeah, I can play guitar, but I'm not that good. I learned playing guitar when I was in high school and we form a school band with my classmates. I want to learn how to play keyboard/piano.

Guitar is my main instrument, but I don't consider myself "good' on it yet. I learned it all by myself, by playing. Therefore, I know nothing about music theory, like scales, techniques and etc.. But people says I play well.. That's enough for me, I think. =) And oh: I never been in a band. I'm curious to see how I would fit into it, but afraid if I'll do it right.
