What do you usually do when you have headache? When I was still schooling, my mother usually give me paracetamol for me to stop complaining. She lets me drink a lot of water. And checks if I have fever. Today my classmate in college told me that Chewing a gum helps when you have a headache. She read an article from a newspaper that says, most headaches are caused by too much tension. To release such tension. You just have to chew to release pent-up, nervous energy. She also added that chewing gum also strengthen our memory. Would you believe in this theory? I still take paracetamol whenever I have headache. I don't have bubble gum at home. Maybe I should try that theory if ever I have headache.

Headaches aren't just from too much tension, but also stress and at times chemical imbalances. I read an article in Woman's World that if you take a vitamin B2 daily it will reduce significantly the occurrences of headaches and migraines. Since I suffer from chronic migraines I decided to give it a try. I usually have two or three migraines a month, and after taking the B2 for a few weeks I realized that the migraines had been reduced to mild headaches and only one in the period of 6 weeks. I wouldn't even consider chewing gum when I have a headache that bad, as the movement of the jaw would tend to put pressure on the skull and make things hurt worse. Another thing I learned from a reflexologist friend of mine is that when you have a bad headache firmly rub the webbed area between your fingers on both hands. I thought he was nuts, but I tried it and found that when I went to the fleshy area just behind the webs there were areas that were kind of swollen. I worked them between my thumb and index finger of the opposite hand and did each webbed area on both hands...I was amazed that my headache was significantly reduced! If a headache sneaks past all the preventative measures, I have found that if I use an ice pack at the base of my skull and use one big enough to reach down most of my neck it does help reduce the pain and length of the headache. I won't guarantee these options as each of us is different, but they are worth a try and they are the kind that won't hurt you if they don't work. The B2 has only one drawback, it turns you pee a brilliant yellow. But your body will eliminate the excess so there isn't any problem with it building up in your system. Plus, the bottle I bought cost about $3.50 so it is cheap enough that if it doesn't work you haven't spent hundreds of dollars to be disappointed.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I'll do one at a time, I will try the B2 Vitamin. I think its just the same with B Complex. I'm going to buy one bottle of that. I won't mind having a yellowish urine. As long as I feel light, feel healthy. I'm happy as a bee. Thanks again.

I get headache because of depression sometimes. I will do nothing but lie in the bed. Headache will make me in a bad mood and I can't concentrate to do anything. In this situation I will try to sleep but it is quite difficult to be in dream. I hope that I will be healthy all the time.
