Vacation Anyone

I just saw a commerical for natinal stay at home week - how many have the money for this? I'm going to be starting work again after a long hiatus and I'm so looking forward to it. It means moving to Meridian, MS and my baby being away from his son for awhile - so that I can vouchers for the baby and actually work. I miss work that engages my mind, heck I miss any activity that does that. I don't miss my child any less. BIt I'm starting out with a vacation. My husband and I and our baby are going to be viisitnng with the whole family in Meridian. They live on the lake, plus we're going to go to the casino, not that I'm into gambling - only because its too much going on at once in a casino and a water park and for me...there will others who be vieing over playing and holding the baby. I adore my baby, but since I'm alone out here in NM besides my husband - I'm like a single mom. 24 hour caregiver (and he likes waking up and staying up in the middle of the night). So just being able to pee without him knocking on the door or in there with me, to take a walk by myself...these are luxury I don't have now. And I'm also looking forward to him enjoying his cousins and family making so much of him and seeing the lake and swimming for the first time (they have a pool) and the water park. What about you, did you have a vacation this year, or will you. Was it the vacation you would daydream about? Where would you go and what would you do if you could do anything, go anywhere?

I spent a week in Arizona with my daughter and her family....then went to Wisconsin for a week with my best friend.....and a week from tomorrow I'll be going to Norther Minnesota to a lodge to stay for almost a week....it's on a lake and it's beautiful. I hope you have fun on your vacation!

Its almost a good thing when friends and family are far - you get to visit! And sometimes wind up spending more time then if they lived closer. Of course these days, its expensive to travel. That lodge sounds wonderful - how did you find out about it?
