This summer on the month of my birthday, I have bought a few shirts and blouses for me not because I think I look good on them but because I like them. I feel that I am taking better care of myself too. I have start journal on compostion books and have bought a few self help cds and books. What about you? What have you done lately just for you?

Hi Shelly, I love plants and many of mine needed repotting so I treated myself to a massive pot which I planted my Yukka tree into, about another two feet to go and it will be up to the ceiling. I also bought a couple of books and some balitorids for my fish tank. Ellie :D

That sounds great and I bet that also made for a good day for you. I am getting sleepy here, went to bed late and I got up early.

I did my grocery shopping and bought myself a LOT of keylime yogurt. Also this week, I treated myself to a pistachio-almond ice cream cone. Why are these treats? Because I haven't had much money lately, so I treated myself to boost my mood.

I ate dinner backwards that night...my daughter and I spent the day together, had ice cream and ate it on the way to pick up dinner--pizza and breadsticks from Pizza Hut. And it obviously worked...I managed to get a job this week (yesterday!). I feel good...(a la James Brown). And I'm working on a plan to get myself back on my feet (so to speak). Speaking of Key Lime, maybe I'll make those bars this weekend...although I am now officially on a diet! According to The Secret, you have to love you first....and that's what I'm doing!

Well I don't really do to much for myself. But lately I bought myself this really pretty shirt in Macys. I received a $20 Macy's gift card from this survey site that I am a part of and I bought myself the shirt. It was only $9.74 and it is just so pretty. If Macy's puts more of the same shirts in different color I would buy them.

That sounds great I hope that they do put a different color so you can have another shirt.

I finally broke down and went to see about getting some new eyeglasses It has been way too long since I got these bifocals and I notice more and more each new day that they are not as helpful to my poor, tired eyeballs as they should be.

Hi I like to try and ensure that each day I give myself some 'me' time, when I will relax with a good book, or a good programme. I don't tend to do too much for myself, and enjoy this time daily, even if it is just half hour. I rarely spend money on myself, as I never really have spare for myself.

That is great that at least you are spending time by yourself doing what you really want to do :)

i have been supporting my family eversince, somehow puts me a lot of stress because i cannot totally enjoy my singlehood. 3 months ago, i reenrolled myself in the gym, without the guilt feeling anymore that im spending so much in myself. and i got 1 treatment to aid in my weight loss program. feels good everytime i had a workout, because now i know, i am taking care of myself and my health.
