I don't like Chihuahua's. I find them to be to aggressive. I have never met a Chihuahua I liked. It's just that I have had some bad experiences with them. They are very protective of the owner it seems. They will nip you if you go near. So what dog do you dislike or do you like all dogs big and small?

i love all kinds of dogs, their behavior is not their fault but their owners who do not train them. all dogs naturally will be defensive of their owners unless trained not to be.

I totally agree that a dogs behavior is not it's fault. I wonder if Chihuahua's are trainable or if it is just one of those breeds that can't be helped.

of coarse they can be trained you just have to work at it, they are a little hard headed but i think its because us as their owners baby them too much.

I like any dogs that are nice. I think that they are all protective of their owners to a degree, but some dogs are more obvious about it than others. I think big dogs as a rule are more mellow than small dogs. My dog is fairly small but he likes to think he is a big dog. He acts very fierce at times, but in reality he is timid.

I agree that larger dogs are more mellow than small ones.

Small dogs, haha, are unfortunately ONLY BARK, and no bite.

I like puppies and those dogs that are small in size. I dislike those that are very big and scary to look at. One kind I know is a K9. I find it intimidating to see dogs that are even as big as a human. I just hope they won't bite.

Yeah they are intimidating if you mean a German Shepard. I still prefer large dogs over small dogs myself.

No I can't say that there is any type of breed of dog that I don't like, I have come across dog's that I dont like but haven't taken a disliking to the whole breed because it.

It's true, you shouldn't dislike the entire breed because of a few bad owners who don't train their dogs to be more mellow.

I believe all dogs will act aggressively when strangers come near the owner however, a dog could be trained not to bite, growl and nip at someone.

A dog's behaviour can sometimes be the owner's fault. Socialising your dog can reduce aggressiveness. I have a german shepherd once and as all working dogs are, they have very strong strong guarding instincts which sometimes seen by some people to be a sign of aggressiveness. I usually take my dog out and let him be near other people and other dogs so that he will be use to strangers and strange scents and surroundings. That way, the dog's guarding instinct/aggresiveness is put in check.

That is true. That is good that you take your dog out to socialize. I would hate to have to take the dog out for a walk if it is untrained. Wouldn't want the dog to bite someone.

The majority of small dogs carry characteristics like that. In my experiences they are definitely prone to being more nippy and nervy. I've had NUMEROUS little guys attack my Border Collie x Lab even before she would go in for a sniff. I understand how they may have seen Tiva as a threat, regardless of how gentle she was, having been a 60 pound dog... but the 'all bark no bite' trait is just not one that I find pleasant. The shrill cry they constantly let out also drives me nuts. GAHHHHH... I wonder why these dogs are referred to by many as rats? Hmmmm....
