My husand is active duty army and we are stationed in Germany right now but we are coming back to the states this Oct.and are separating from the army. I plan on opening up a doggy daycare/boarding out of our home once we get one.We plan on finding a farm to turn into this doggy business. Want to hear from some doggy lovers what you would want out of a doggy daycare and boarding place. So let me know so I can tailor to our precious pooches.

I would want one where the pets get a lot of attention and love. I dont think they should be in cages or anything any longer than is necessary. They should get a chance to socialize with other dogs but in a safe manner so that shy dogs dont get fear agression going. I would like to get them kind of tired out too, so they arent hyper when they get home.

Thank You for your response. My husband and I have talked about having fenced area's that would be in essence doggy play ground that they would get the socialization and use their large muscles being able to tire themselves out. One for big dogs and one for little dogs. That is our idea about that one anyway. I dont feel they should be kenneled any longer then needed either.

I think it's a great idea. There are times when I feel like I could use one. I have a Toy Poodle, and he is a ball of energy. It would be important that he would still get the attention that we give him because he is very playful. I just would want someone to tend to him, and I wouldn't want him to be neglected. I would also want to know that he is safe from being attacked by other dogs, especially bigger ones.

I have one near to me. In the morning a big yellow school bus picks up the "students". It's really a funny site to see all the dogs with their noses poking out the windows. They have a lot of activities and two full time companions. The only requirement they have is that the dog must be neutered or spayed, and be current and up to date on its shots. People pay a lot of money for this service. Good Luck!

I think this is a wonderful idea and I wish you the best of luck! Ah, things I'd like to see at my local daycare is... 1.) More time spent with my pet, instead of just putting him in a run for the day. 2.) More love to all animals that are suffering away from their beloved families. 3.) Maybe a time where they can interact with other animals, and make new friends. Those are the only things I can think of that would really be a nice changes from the everyday daycare.
