I have studied in Hongkong for years! It is far away from my hometown. Thus I haven't seen my mom for years. When I am happy, I totally forger her! When I am sad, I don't call her either. I am afraid that she might worry about me. When she calls, I am always too tired to speak! My mom crys at home sometimes! So far as my dad concerned, she misses me! At the time, I laught at her act! It was but yesterday, my dad sent their pictures to me. In the picture, my mom gave me a big smile! However, she really looks haggard! I miss my mom's cooking though her cooking skill is not good! I miss my mom's story. U know what, my mom still treats me as a small kid. I had enough of my mom's constant chatter! Now, notwithstanding, Why I even miss it? Do u miss your mom? Were you yelling at your mom? I was! Now, I know it is not right!

yeah.. surely.. i am also a student, then im studying far at my hometown... thus, i can even go home once in 3 moths or more than that... my mother also calls me at my cellphone just to ask me about my studies, my allowance, etc.. this makes me that i am very important to them, and i miss the times that we are in a one place... i am trying to concentrate on my studies now to fullfill my dreams and to be with parents after my dreams fullfilled..

There are times that I miss my mom (I actually miss her right now). She has departed almost two years ago. The good memories of her is my only way to keep brighten me up.

Hello When i first moved away from home i was happy for about one month ! then i started to miss my family like crazy ! the good thing is they still lived really close so i got to see them . id move back home later in that year to help take care of my sick gram . that was a very hard and stressful time for us all . i did stay on 2 more years , and then me and my fiance bought a house . it was such a huge adjustment for us all and my parents were missing me so much . over time it got easier , but i have my days where i wish i was still a little kid. right now actually both of my parents are staying with me and it is like a blast from the past . it is nice to share and know what is going on in evryones life . they even make some awesome home cooked meals . the last month they have been spoiling me lol .

A mother will always be a mother and the best thing for a child (every one of us is a child of our mother)in the world is the mother. A child can forget his or her mother but a mother can never forget her child. That is the way things have been created by the God. My heart fills with emotions, whenever I remember my mother. However, like you I'm also faraway from my mother since long due to studies and job. I always miss her. In fact, such were my emotions that when first I moved from my parental home, I always used to cry remembering my mother (and father also), whenever I was alone. Many years have passed since then but my feelings are still more or less same. Only thing is I've learnt to control my emotions by now.

I have to learn to control myslef too. I will report only good but not the bad to my mom! If she tells me something, I will correct mistakes made, if any, and keep the food record if none has been committed!

My I got married and moved out of the house to live with my husband, I cried buckets because I missed her so much. I do try to bring my daughter to see here nowadays whenever I could and check on how she's doing. I really miss her right now.

my mother passed away in jan. of this year. we never did have a good relationship. the main thing that broke my heart was the difference she made in my sons' she was so partial to the oldest one & didn't even ackowledge the younger one in her will.that was a mean-hearted thing to do. i haven't gotten over being mad at her about it & to be honest probably never will.there is a lot more to this story that i want bore you with but no, i don't miss her & that is very sad.

thank you but don't worry about it. i know that i sound mean & hard to you but it went on for such a long time that it just was part of my life that was unhappy. noone messes w/my sons even tho they are grown i would still fight for them ths very day.she went to her grave still making a difference in them. i can't forgive he for it & even grieve for her like i should. thanks for your comment & greetings from tennessee.

i really miss my mom a lot n every single day atleast once i remember her. i miss her a lot, she is my mom, my friend n more than everything. i have always spend much time with my mom after my wedding i use to visit my moms place every weekend n call her twice a day, a dily. but now i m in germany n i need to see her once a year it was very difficult for me but then to i somehow managed staying without her n i speak to her about twice a week. i always wish her she was near to me but its not possible n hence i always pray god to keep her happy always n dont give her any sort of tensions n health problems. my mom more than me she misses my son as she was very much attached to him n she finds difficult to stay without him. i m just waiting for december when i can go to india n meet her.

My mom and I are very close, I love spending time with her. I see her almost every weekend, Saturday is our day together. I take my kids to spend time with my mom too. We always have something to talk about and I like that we do stuff together, like shopping, cooking, exercise, we also crochet and do all kinds of puzzles. I also tell my mom I love her as often as I can. Life is too short and my mom is my mom no matter what. I think we need to cherish our mothers because in this life time we only get one.

I feel bad for anyone who is not able to be close to their moms (or parents for that matter). For me, having my family close by is such a wonderful thing. I am glad that they are the nosey type or those who are always in my business. They are the perfect mix of concern and love for me, my husband and kids. There have been times when I felt like my mom was trying to treat me like a kid, but now that I am a mom myself, I completely understand why that is not something you can just "turn off". No matter how old you get, as a mom, you will always love and care about your child as they go out into the world. When they are happy, it makes YOU happy; when they are sad or have let downs in their life, you can't help but hurt for them inside. It's just a natural thing, I think. I have a neice and nephew (now in their 20's), who lost their mom (my sister) to cancer 24 years ago this year. They went from small children (6 and 7 years old at the time) to adult life -- all without their mom. I know they both wish they could hear her voice now.....feel her touch.....have her get on their nerves, just like mom's tend to do sometimes! :) They only have memories.....so be sure to love your mom and appreciate her while you've got her here. She won't be around forever.
