I ever put a bottle of water and my cell phone in my waterproof bag. When I found water all leak out of the bottle the cell phone had been drenched. I disassembled the cell phone and laied the components on the table. Two days later I assembled the cell phone and it worked well. One of my friend put his dirt clothes in the basin full of water some day, and he add some soap powder into the water. When he remembered the cell phone was in the pocket of dirt cloth and pick it out 1 hour later, it was too late. It couldn't work at last. Is your cell phone still ok after it drenched by water?

It happened to me.... 3 TIMES. From my experiences, it will not work anymore. I will also disassemble the cell phone and blow dry it. Usually, it will work for a few hours to a few days. Then it will start to behave weirdly and that's when I know it's time to change phone Again. I can get quite clumsy. I think I will butter fingers.

I am not sure because I have not have the "good fortune" of getting my phone dumped into water. Normally, I will try to be careful. But yes, I know that sometimes, no matter how careful one is, things still happen. Good for you that your phone is still working fine after the "bath"!

MOst of the time when it can be saved on time, the cell phone should be ok.. haha =D SO far i have not drenched my phone with water, but with rain water, yes.. lol =D Luckily it's not totally wet and thus it doesn't really affect my phone.. BUt my fren taught me that if our phone got drenched, just dismantle everything and leave it in front of the fan to blow dry, by the next day, the cell phone should be working well again ^_^ Other than that, he will also disassembled his phone to clean the dust inside them b4 fixing them back together again.. lol

I have been a bit clumsy with my phones over the years and I have managed to drop 2 down the toilet. An unused toilet I hasten to add, so fishing out was not too bad, apart from being completely soaked. The first I had popped in a top pocket of a top, while I was hoovering and I leant over too far and plop The second time (and you would have thought I would have learned my lesson) I had it in my dressing gown pocket, while having a bath. I then picked up my dressing gown, which happened to be upside down and you guessed it.. plop number 2 Neither phone worked again afterwards unlike yours. I still haven't learned my lesson, as I will still take a phone into the bathroom. I just try to be more aware about where it is.

I also have experienced dropping a phone on an unused toilet bowl. I'm lucky to save the phone by removing the battery right after getting it out of the water to avoid short circuit. I waited a couple of hours and made sure that I get it dried before turning it on. It worked!

This happened to me before. I was in a not so good mood that time for some reason that's why I threw my phone in a bucket full of water. I picked it up around ten minutes later. I turned it on but it wouldn't. So I used the hairbblower to dry it up and later I was able to turn it on. The cellphone repairman said that it is better not to turn your phone immediately after it gets wet. You should wait for some days for it to dry. When it is wet and you try to turn it on, it might cause some sparks inside the circuit of the phone and totally damage it's minute parts.

Oops. Yes, I have had that bad thing happening to me once in my junior year in college. That morning on my way to classroom, I put my Samsung cell in my backpack together with milk. The milk leaked out and went inside of my cell phone, what's worst, I left my cell powered on, so when I found out to rescue my cell, it was really too late. And I took it to repair store immediately, but it still did not work out unfortunately. My poor cell!

i haven't experience my phone to be dumped in water so i cannot say that it will be ok or i turned out ok for the matter but my niece did, actually its me who accidentally put her phone in the washing machine, of course the phone became wet all over and my niece really cried for that, i immediately took it out of the machine and disassemble the parts, the phone still turn itself on but the sim card has been damaged so i was forced to buy her another one.

Another than that my uncle's Nokia cellphone i forgot what model is it drop into water too while he is working then he dry it up after few days it still work!! I think maybe only Nokia have such quality. I didnt see any other brand of cellphone still can work well after drop into water. Happy myloting!!!

Well, I haven't washed my cell phone before, but my daughter knocked it into a sink full of water once and dropped it in the toilet another time and my son has put it in dish water and i still use it as an alarm clock. I have updated the phone I actually use as a phone, but the one that went in water so many times still worked, it just needed a long time to dry out after falling in the water. I didn't take it apart when it fell in simply because I probably wouldn't have been able to put it back together.

My cellphone didn't drench in water, but falling to many times on the floor. I think the sony ericsson phone is the sturdiest of them all, it falls 33 times but its still alive maybe it will survive also from water. The weakest cellphone is nokia, Remember when your cellphone get wet, dry it quickly. But maybe in the future all cellphones are waterproof.

I can go both ways with that one. I had a cellphone one time, it was brand new, and me and a friend of mine went to the swimming pool in her community. And I got a call so I ran to grab the phone, and just took it to the pool with me. Well it got dropped into the pull. And like you said I disassembled it, and let it dry out. Unfortunately I guess it was too late, it would not stop vibrating. So I got a new one, and I somehow managed to drop it in the toilet. LOL. So i did the same thing and took it apart and let it sit for a day or two, and it worked just fine.

no, my friends accidently put mine in washing machine and it never worked again. which stinks cause i loved that phone and they didnt sell that certain color anymore. sigh

Normally if you allow to dry slowly most items like this will work again. I often use a cooler shelf in the airing cupboard when there's a small accident like this.

yes, my friends and i all have the eperience. some times, we droped cell phone into the water, but we never worry about the result. we can take it out and blow it with a hair blower. it's effective. if one day, your cell phone gets water, you can have a try with hair blower. but the basic fact is your cell phone is good brand or good quality.

Most of the cellphones we have had were not working after they had gotten wet. My husband when he was working for this one company went through a lot of cellphones because they kept getting wet. It might not have been that they totally did not work at all but they were messed up in someway or another.

after a while it still can be saved. but watch out dry your phone before the water damages the speakers. you will have funny sounds coming out of it before you know it!

one day i was caught in a flash flood rain outside my car and i got tired of waiting for the rain to stop so i decided to run to my house. well outside my car on the street there was like 2 inches of water and i dropped my phone, i thought it wouldnt work but it never stopped working. usually though electronics will work if you let them dry good they will work again you can usually get all the moisture out by freezing it. (yes in the freezer)
