Aging - A New Way?

I read something yesterday that had an impact on me. It made me smile, giggle a bit, and ponder a bunch. Here's the quote: "I'm not 50; I'm 18 with 32 years experience." It was attributed to "author unknown" and I HATE that. You and I both know that someone wrote that. Someone with a name. It could have been a comedian. I thought the quote was a bit extreme, but I liked the idea enough to adapt it. I'm not 56. I'm 40 with 16 years experience. I liked that. Or I could be 35 with 21 years experience. Or 50 with 6 years experience. I guess this only works for dinosaurs like me. Well, I suppose you could be 21 with 4 years experience, or 18 with 3 years experience. Your mission, should you choose to accept, is: 1) To adapt this quote to let us know how old you're feeling today. 2) Or if this doesn't float your boat, tell us what you learned yesterday. We're supposed to try to learn something new every day in order to stay young and to grow. What was your epiphany?

That is a very interesting way to look at age lol,and if more people looked at it like that then maybe less people would feel so old,and it is a good idea to adapt to that quote, but I wonder who wrote it,and I definitely accept the mission my friend I am twenty with three years experience lol and I feel good,I feel a whole lot younger now,and I agree it is good to learn something new every day,and I do not think I learned anything new yesterday that i can recall.

Glad you stopped by, hellcowboy. Glad you learned something too. I would have guessed you were a bit older. That's a good thing, though. Maturity in responses, you know?

I was happy to drop by my friend as I try to respond to as many discussions my friends start as I can,and lol I have had other people tell me they think I am older than I actually am,and that does not bother me as I am glad that my responses so how mature I am,as I consider myself to be very mature, have a great day, good luck in your life, and Happy Posting.

I like that quote. Whenever someone used to ask me how old I was I would tell them, (whatever age I was, this is present) I'm 48, feel like 38 act 28. So I would have to say I'm 25 with 23 years experience. I have always thought age is just a number and you are as young as you feel or act. It's all a matter of attitude. lol

So true, palonghorn. When I look into the mirror, I see the 35 year old woman I used to be, so that keeps me young...trying to keep up with her.
