How much are you making?

How much is your writing earning for you? I am talking to those who write at places like AC and Helium. I am going to start getting serious about my writing but I am curious as to how others are doing. Don't give me an exact figure a ballpark one will do.

LOL - I'm making a bit over $16 on myLot this month :) My writing pay has taken a huge drop when I think just a bit over a year ago I was making between $500 and a $1000 a month writing. As I only have one article on Helium right now I don't expect to earn much if anything but at least have taken the step towards doing something I love doing. I have gotten a new freelance job but am not sure I'll be keeping it as the pay is much lower than I was getting in the past and the assignments are time consuming. The people seem nice though and I figure anything is better than nothing and it does challenge my writing abilities which is always good.

WOW $500 - $1000 a month blows my mind! Right now $16 a month sounds like a dream lol. Life gets real hard when I am on off season for taxes and my crafts are failing to sell. So I am striking out again and trying to make some money on my writing.

The months I was making the most was when I was writing e-books as a ghostwriter. It was a royal pain in the behind sometimes with rewrites and all also did graphics for several but I can't complain and I usually got a little more if the client requested a rewrite. That was also researching and writing 24/7 sometimes.

When I commented I wasn't considering myLot or PayPerPost, byfaithonly, duh...you are right! Good luck on your new endeavor.

The average I make for a paid article at AC is just under four dollars. Then I make 1.50 on page views every month - which will increase when I start writing more. It's pretty good income, if you write a lot, or have a lot to talk about. So I'd say in a normal month, I make about 15 dollars from AC - I'm hoping to pump that up by writing more, though; I just need inspiration!

That is pretty good. If I could make that plus what I get here I could start having some fun again lol. About how many articles are you writing for AC right now?

I TRY to write one to two articles a week - there's a feed of my articles in my profile. Payout strictly for page views can take a while to reach - they don't payout usually until you reach 1.50 (1000 page views). However, as soon as you accept a payment for an article, they start processing that payment and it's sent to your PayPal address within a week on average.

i find that writers dont make that much online anymore. when i started out about 5 years ago, i was making some really good money, but now you only get a couple of dollars for a 500 word piece. not that great.

I earn enough to pay for the monthly fee on my blogging platform. Triond is my favorite because they pay every month like clockwork. AC's rate is a bit higher though. Squidoo is slower to pay, but it is good for generating traffic to the others. Earnings are somewhat related to the exposure each article gets. Good luck with your writing, and don't expect miracles in the first few months. It takes a while to get up to a steady trickle of residual income.

Oh wow now you got me thinking - I did a bunch of writing on Squidoo when they first opened but haven't done anything there in a year or more. Duh, I need to jump back in there :)

I have been writing reviews for "Review Stream". Depending on the time I can devote to it, I am making $ 50 to 100 per month. I am quite happy working with them. One can write brief reviews on a variety of topics.

Hi sweet. I'm also interested to get the answers to this discussion because I'm trying to decide which sites to try writing for. I wrote 2 reviews for reviewstream so far. One was accepted for $2 and the other was not. I got kind of upset when the second was refused so I haven't written another one yet. I have the same problem that I have hear with starting discussions. I can't think of what to write about. That's not a good thing for a writer. And in that case you'll do fine! You don'thave that problem! I can answer, just can't think of questions. But, I'm going to have to try to make myself do it to make some money somehow.

I write for Ac also. I make about 3.50 a article. I just started getting more and more page views but I haven't made a payout with them yet. If anyone would be interesting in doing page view for page view then just let me know and i'll subcribe to you and we can share page views.
