Watching a movie on MUTE

I have my granny with me. She astonises me a lot in many ways. I love silence sometimes and being calm gives me privacy pleasure.....But when ever i watch a movie, i keep the upbeat to the high and love to be with the tune.....
My granny made to astonish here, Whenever she watches Television, she many times keeps the TV on mute and watches movies,serials and other programmes...but really she can understand the stories as well....I cant understand , how its so...
Do you ever come across , Watching a movie on MUTE and seeing some people like my granny....

I love to watch movies on mute if there is closed captioning, then I can watch two at the same time. Usually if my husband is watching one movie with the sound one, then if I am watching a different movie on my computer screen, I will have my sound off.
Without the subtitles, though, I would have a difficult time figuring out what was going on, and that would be frustrating.

Hi there Rkrish!
I have never met someone who watches a tv show or movie while the TV is "muted". I don't think I can understand the show if I do that myself.

Really, how can she understand that? As for me, I can't do that, whenever I am watching, movies or series, I like it loud and clear. So that I can easily understand the plot and dialogues.

Now that is something! Watching a movie in mute? I can't do that. I want to understand the movie so I usually have the speakers loud, too.
