Bible is the Best book of all the book have been made. And as a christian believer we are required to read atleast fifteen minutes a day. For me honestly i do only read bible when i need too. Like when i have to refer my topic discussion to the bible or during the times when i feel down and i want some comforting words of wisdom from the bible. I dont know why i prefer to read other books or magazines or news paper than to read a bible in fact the bible has everything in it. What do you think? Have you own a bible? Do you read Bible?

I do read the bible and learn something new everytime I open it. I don't read everyday but when I do study, at least twice a week, I get out my Bible and my Strong's Concordance of the Bible. When I'm not reading the Bible I'm usaully reading a Christian novel book. Don't get me wrong I still enjoy the newspaper, magazines and of course reading children books to my kids:)

The first time I read the bible I was really surprised at how good it was. Ok, so it does tend to skip big parts, but the thing is, it reads really well, and if you can get over the middle english text, it's an amazing story. In my mind it's up there with the best sci-fi or fantasy books out there. Not that I am saying the bible is sci-fi or fantasy, as I am a devout believer. I think a lot of people could learn so much if they actually read the bible and found out more about our religion. For example a co-worker of mine was shocked when she read in the bible that child birth pain is a punishment from god for breaking his one rule in the garden of eden. She complained it was unfair, and I argued it was one rule, just one rule they had to keep and they couldn't even do that, so massive punishment was fair.

i have a bible and so does both of my kids they have the one for kids. i try to read it every night but sometimes i go through stages where i don't but theres no excuse why, there is alot to learn from it when you don't understand life. i probably should dedicate more of my time to the bible and i have been working on that.

I try to read my Bible as often as I can. I'm kind of confused as to why you're saying we are required to read at leat 15 minutes of it a day? Where do you get this from? I don't think God sets any time expectations on reading our Bible, just so long as we read it AND get something out of it.

Hi lkoenig07, As a roman chatolic believer we have a commitment to God to read bible daily atleast 15 minutes minimum a day. But it doesnt mean that you can read more than 15 minutes, you can read as long you like to read. Still your willingness is more important. thanks for responding.

Thefact that it is the book with the highest number of copies sold all around the world, in many different languages, that it is the only book that has survived through so many centuries even if we don't consider it as the Word of God, indeed makes it the best book ever. I don't think that we are required to read the bible at least 15 minutes a day if we are christians. I think it's more a decision on our part whether or not to read the bible be it 15 minutes or more since it is something which arises from your personal relationshi[ with God and your faith in Him. I have two Bibles and much as i would like to read a chapter or two each day, I have not been able to do so. Just like you it is the Bible which I turn to when I need comfort, strength, inspiration and courage to face the world and my problems. And it works.
