My mother told me I was wasting my time on mylot...

I think that what she's saying may be true IF you are spending all of your waking hours on the Internet. She may be just telling you that there's a life outside of the Internet. It's important to live a balanced life. Real life should always take priority over the Internet anytime. If you understand this and practice a balanced life then I commend you. If your mom is just saying this to simply belittle what you are doing then that is wrong and it's her problem. Don't worry about it and just keep doing what you are doing. Also, you don't necessarily have to be so open toward her about how you spend your time . We all need to keep certain things to ourselves. Oh..........don't misunderstand me. I'm not saying to lie to your parents. When asked a direct question from your mom and dad you should always answer honestly. What I'm simply saying is, if what you are doing doesn't hurt you or anybody else there is no need to VOLUNTEER the information. It is alright to keep some things to yourself. she sounds similar to my mother, all mothers are like they, they say it for your best. just tell you mum i will set a limit like 1-2 hours everyday and comprimise with her, tell her ill do the dishes and hovers and let me go on the computer for certain hours, with my mum i told her ill do some maths and science revision everyday for 1 hours if she lets me go on the computer for 30 minutes and then she'll be happy as well, Happy mylotting mate!!

be cool and listen to your mom!! your a student? if not the go out and look for real work..since here in the internet you really cant earned that much like working on offline...but if you think that you can log on here as a sideline then its ok..you really cant get rich in my lot..just friendships and additional income for the one existing not the main source..although this site is good and really pays..real jobs are better than online..

I do not agree with your mother, unless you spend all your time on myLot. I think this is a good part-time thing to do, plus it earns you for that, and hence not a waste. But if you intent to stay at myLot throughout a day, i dont know how worth that is. My suggestion will be that its a good part-time stuff to do. So that it doesn't hurt you even if that times goes wasted.

I can understan what your mom said. It is because that your mom, as well as my mom, doesn't believe that money can come from t he internet. They just believe in real job that can earn you real money. Belive me, the real job really gives you more money than spending your time here in front of your computer. But afterall, this is good because not only gou got extra earning, you can also broaden your knowledge about world around you... tell that to the moms good luck and have a nice day

Hello AltheGreat your mother is a typical mother. That is usually mother said when they see their kids always infront of the computer. Maybe because they think kids really wasting the time in the internet doing nothing but just playing online games and chatting to people they don't know. And for mother there's a lot of things to do rather than doing internet surfing. We can't blame them they are just very concern of their children. Just show her that although you do your internet activity you are still productive in your offline life. Goodluck...
