How Do You Like To Eat Your Fries?

I know many of us Love French Fries. We might even have our favorite places we love to get them the most. But did you know there are many ways to eat these as well. I know I have had the pleasure to try them many ways, and whoever thought of some of these were quite impressive indeed.
Now when it comes to French Fries, I do admit I have to be in the mood if I am going to do something with them besides eat them plain. (Yes, you heard me right, I eat them plain... No Salt, Ketchup, nothing.) But most of the time if I eat them with something, I prefer either Ketchup or tartar sauce. When I am getting creative, or when I have them with a Burger dip, I like dipping them into the Aujus as well.
But one of my alltime favorites, and is definately like a meal within itself, is to melt cheese, and bacon, and green onion on top of your fries, and dip them in ranch. It is definately an all time favorite, but fattening as well. Maybe you prefer them a little different, or have cravings that are the same as mine. Would Love to hear your favorite ways to eat them as well.

I lover fries too especially the one from Wendy's and the soggy fries of KFC. I love dipping it on melted cheese or ketchup. Sometimes I even dip it on a chocolate sundae.

Yes, you can never go wrong with Fries. And if you add some Cheddard Cheese, Bacon bits, or Chili that is so good for sure.

First off, I attack the largest ones and dip them in either ranch dressing (I have the BEST recpie for homemade dressing that's to die for) or sweet 'n sour sauce if I'm at McD's. Then, at the very end of my high fatty feast, I love sucking on those smaller pieces that are loaded with the grease so thick, you can press the fry onto the paper lining of the tray and it just oozes. No womder I've been avoiding my cholestoral blood tests. *lol*

Ranch dressing is excellent with fries for sure. Not sure if I am a Fan of Sweet and Sour sauce on them though.

There is only one way that I like my fries. I like them fresh and hot and from McDonald's. I don't want any thing on them but a little salt. Every one around me had to douse them with catsup. Some one on here said that he liked to sprinkle some lemon juice on them instead of salt. I tried that and it wasn't too bad. I understand that in Germany they like their fries with mayonnaise instead of catsup. But that doesn't appeal to me ether.i like them just plain.

Generally, I do not care for fries. Give me a baked or nuked spud any day. I like to put chili and cheese and sour cream on the baked one, and it is also good on fries. Hubby almost always orders fries if given a choice of potatoes. He likes vinegar on them. He said when he was in Germany all of the soldiers put Mayo on them, because German Ketchup tasted bad to them. I guess it is an acquired taste. The bacon, cheese ranch ones do sound good.

I Love Chili and Cheese on Baked potatos also. I have tried Vinegar on Fries, but too me that would have to be an acquired taste. They taste Bland that way to me.

French fries are one my favorite snack. i love to dip them in veg curry and egg curry i love to eat them as soon as they are fried i just squeeze the oil and make it thin and soft and mash in ketchup and have it ( im kinda wierd lol) I also have it along with finger fishes, finger fishes are another kinda snack i love to eat both dumping my mouth side by side.. when i read your discussion i was salivating.. yummy yumm...

I love curry as well.
I have never tried fries dipped in a curry sauce yet.

Hmm i don't have any different ways of eating my french fries KrauseHome. I just know that i can eat it with flavors like cheese, barbeque or sour and cream. I love dipping it in ketchup and mayonnaise! Hmm love it when my ketchup has mayo! But whenever i'm eating at a fastfood like McDonald's, there's this playful way of eating my french fries, i dip it in my sundae!

My favorite way to eat fries is smothered with chili and melted cheese. I normally just eat fries that are salted and dip them in ketchup. I love to eat fries when I eat a burger. I have to use the American made ketchup such as Hunts because I can't bear the taste of the very sweet ketchup made here in Nicaragua where I live. Fries are fairly popular here, especially when eating hamburgers but you usually have to ask for salt for them.

I love potatoes any way. My favourite way to eat them is salt. Simple salt. They are so good. I prefer skin on to removed as well. In fact, last night a friend made some that were steamed as apposed to fried. Yummy and low in saturated gunk. Too cool.

I eat my fries plain with a little bit of salt most of the time. But if Im feeling dangerous (ha ha) I go animal style at In & Out. Animal style without the onions. It kills it for me. Oh yeah, McDonald's fries RULES!! Trans-fat or no trans-fat, those fries are the best.

French fries are fattening! LOL ...and oh so good! That is one of the fond memories of my childhood. My sister ( I lost her to cancer when she was 26) and I would get up in the middle of the night and cook french fries while everyone else was sleeping. My favorite way to eat them is with gump. lol what is gump? My mom used to serve it to us as kids and it is a mixture of mayo, ketchup and mustard (I also use it on corndogs). I have no clue where the name gump came from! LOL When I lived in Utah for a while, I was surprised to find that they serve gump there too with their fries....only they call it *fry sauce*. Try it....you'll like it!! You take a couple of tbsp of mayo, squirt in a little mustard and a little ketchup, mix it all together....very easy!!!

Hi, I like them plain too, no salt and no ketchup, there are times I like to dip them in some bbq sauce. I love your recipe "melt cheese, and bacon, and green onion on top of your fries, and dip them in ranch" I have got to try this, sounds really yummy!

well we call them chips here in australia.i love mine with gravy and some times have a bread roll with chips on them,very naughty of me.sometimes i love them with chicken salt.or sour cream and chilli sauce,i really love hot chips when its cold.cheers sue

I've had them so many ways over the years that I've lost count! I used to love "Boardwalk fries" with vinegar, but that was more of a 'phase' for me than a real treat.
I love them best either really crispy or soggy... nothing inbetween. When they're soggy, well actually no matter HOW they feel, they should be cooked in peanut oil or any oil with no added cholesterol.
I also love seasoned fries. I avoid added salt but have learned how to make things taste just as good with other spices.
My son made a concoction once that I absolutely adored, but don't know how to duplicate it; neither does he! He mixed ketchup, mustard and some barbeque sauce together and it was so delicious! He just can't remember the ratio of what to what.
I also love them with melted American cheese, sour cream and chives. I could eat them by the gallon!
Ah, geez, now I want some! I've been SUCH a good girl with my diet, too! Maybe it's time to cheat a little. When I lose 2 pounds, I have a "treat". I might gain back a half a pound, but it makes me even more determined to lose another 2.

I love Mcdonals twister fries dipping them to mayonaise and catsup sooo awesome

MMM I love french fries for sure! I love in and out fries the best they are way more healthy than any other fries! they cut the fries right there! I mean how much better can you get?!? Anyway when I eat meh fries they usually end up stuffed in my mouth like a hungry hungry hippo AHHA
