History will always be a mystery as you cannot ask questions of the people who were there at the time. History is always written by the winners so will always be biased in their favour.

I love history. Not the dry stuff you get in school books. the history from writers that make it come alive.

I don't really understand your posting, but I agree with the statement that history is a big mystery. There are so many things about history that we don't know. I was watching a show the last 2 weeks where they discussed a massive volcano eruption that started in the 1530s and basically wiped out civilization. There was enough ash spewed high into the air that the sun turned dark over much of the world. It stayed much colder than normal, they couldn't grow crops, and famine and hunger were everywhere. They even suggested that this might have had something to do with starting the Black Plague. I was fascinated.
