I was surfing the Internet and found an article that said that InTrade.com has opened a new category betting on whether or not Palin will withdraw from the race and not accept the offered slot of VP. If this happens, what would happen to the chances of a McCain victory? For a look at the odds that people are pay on different political issues, check out http://www.intrade.com/ It is very interesting.

I think that it would be a great shame if she did. The Democrats need every little help that they can get!

I'm sure she'll stay on the ticket. Everyone knows that it would be disastrous if she left the ticket now. Her daughter was pregnant long before she became the nominee. That hasn't changed. The public scrutiny was likely inevitable. It just came out sooner rather than later.

It sure is interesting and getting more interesting by the minute. I sure won't rule out her withdrawing from the VP slot especially since she was clearly not vetted at all before McCain chose her and his people are just now in Alaska doing what we'd have assumed would have been done months or at least weeks ago, so who knows what will turn up? It's already finally come out that she was for the Bridge to Nowhere before she was against it...lol! I'm thinking, and I admit it may well be at least in part WISHFUL thinking, McCain's chances at victory are already slim to none and (hopefully) getting slimmer. Annie

No, I don't think she will and she shouldn't. This whole thing about her daughter being pregnant will only help her. People go for this, and the media will play it this way. They will play it as she is the strong women fighting the world on her shoulders. She knows this and the rest of the McCain camp knows this; it would be stupid for her to drop out. Her being on the ticket actually gives McCain some fighting power.
