PM I get so annoyed, do you?

I really don't like those tag windows that mylot has for the messages. I never use them. I think a PM is a quick note and boy do I get annoyed when I forget that darn tag window is coming and I've clicked to another window only to then remember "Oh No the tag thing" and have to click back to skip it! 
So how do you feel about the tags in PMs, do you get annoyed like I do or do you use them? If so, what some good uses for them?

I don't use them, but I know some people find them useful so they can find a particular message again if they need to.
The main reason I don't use them is that they are searchable by EVERYONE, and I think that's wrong and should be fixed. Anyone doing a search with some of the keywords you put in the 'tag' box will find your PRIVATE message.
Try it. Send a msg to someone and put in some obscure keywords, then PM me the keywords. I'll bet I get to see your PRIVATE message.

WOW Thanks I didn't know that. I'm glad I was so annoyed by it!!! I hope myLot will get to read this and make some kind of adjustment. I did a search on Alexa one time and that's how I ended up here so that means a PM could show up on Alexa too.

But usually if you are that close with someone at myLot, chances are that you would use something like email or im.

i hate pm because mine keep not sending.. i will go through and do everything then i will look and it never replied to whoevers message.. but if they always worked the tag thing would still irritate me

Hey im just like you do what happens for me is i just send some people message and assume that it will reach by just submitting the message but then next page appears it asks for the tag man yes i would have not seen and the person whom i have to send the PM would have been waiting so long and yes its very hard for us and that is really seem to annoy us but it is useful for people who want to be specific

yeah, i've noticed that too., there is no use. why do we need to put that., it is a personal message so i guess it doesn't need for us to put tags on it.,aaarrgghh!!!

Hehe...as a programmer my self, I could understand how a "booboo" like that could slip in. It is a very dangerous bug tho and I agree that myLot should resolve it.
I can just imagine, you making a special connection with someone you met on myLot and you share your most intimate secrets and fantasies about each other. That could be a bit more than just embarrising ;D

Hello redkathy,
I don't really get annoyed with the tag windows but it is really a hassle to put some tags that I always skip that part. I enjoy everything here except that tag stuff. Aha! I don't understand what is the point of having tag windows for private message too. Maybe, we should ask MyLot to delete them?

Absolutely! Since PMs are "PRIVATE" messages, why do they need tags for others to find them? If they're private, aren't they solely the business of sender and recipient (and myLot in case someone is doing something illegal)? I've never understood the reasoning behind them - not that any reasoning has ever been given.
