Just finished submitting second article to AC

Ok I have two articals submitted and waiting on AC to make thier decisions on them. I hope they want to pay me for both cause I sure could use the money. I plan on writing two more articles tomorrow. The two I have written will also be submitted to Helium after I get the news of whether or not AC will pay for them. I chose the non exclusive rights so I can submit it to other places. About how long have you waited to hear from AC about your submissions? It has been a week on the first one I submitted.

Oh that is great that you've gotten busy writing. I've been a member at AC for over a year and still not submitted anything there. I am this morning working on another article, my second, for Helium I should get involved in AC just not sure where to start I guess.

I've had others say the same thing - AC first then Helium, I just put that one on Helium because I happen to notice they 'needed' writers for a certain topic and I could/did write that right off the top of my head. "Growing Egg Plant" :)

I only have 2-3 articles in AC. I can't get paid upfront because I'm not a US citizen, so I can only get paid for pageviews which is terribly hard to earn. I must try to write more there. You chose non-exclusive rights, does that mean that you will be paid only from pageviews? Can I publish something I have published elsewhere at AC that way?

No I chose upfront payment non exclusive rights so they will pay me for the article if they choose. I think if you are just getting page views you can submit articles you have submitted elsewhere but I could be wrong.

Thanks iakulchen, I have tried Hubpages recently but earnings were slow. I think I shall move on to AC this month. Glad to know that I can still make money from articles I have published before.

Yes, you can publish articles that you have published elsewhere on AC if you choose the "Display only" option. Choosing the "non-exclusive option allows you to publsih the artilces elsewhere after you have publsihed them on AC.

I have written for AC since July of 2005. In that time frame, the wait time varies greatly. It can take as little as a couple of days to two weeks to get an article reviewed. Although I think the two weeks is pretty rare. I hope you get your articles accepted for upfront payment, as that is nice. However, I think their bonus program is good. I get a bonus every month and it is nice.

Well I had to resubmit my article with references even though I didn't use any sources I had to site sources. I wrote the article from my own knowledge of the breed of dog I own but I guess they felt that I could not have written it without going to someplace to get the info. which is basically calling me stupid but that is ok. Don't know if it will be accepted or not. I have only earned 4 cents through page views so I am not that impressed by that.

That is weird about the sources. I have heard that a few times from others who wrote an article based on personal knowledge. I haven't posted an article in a few months, so I will have to see if that happens to me too. If you just got started with the bonus program, it won't seem like much, but it will add up overtime. I am pleased with mine, but I do have a lot of articles posted. Good luck!

Hmm, I had been an AC member since July 24, 2008 and I just published 16 articles so far, though I have submitted about 25 articles but some are still waiting for their approval. As experienced, it actually depends, I cannot really say they always approve 3 days after submission or a week after, since it has been different for my submissions; some they approve 2 days after submitting it for review, while some were approved a week or even more than a week after. Be patient.. You'll soon hear from them.. Good luck!

I hope so. I guess I just need to get on the ball and start writing and submitting and stop watching it for payment lol.

I never submit for the upfront payment, as the residual income is fine with me, so I cannot help with that. However, now that I know you write for A/C too, please add me to your friend list there or tell me your pen name so I can add you. I am Janet Jenson.

It can take as long as two weeks (10 business days) if they're swamped, but I think lately they've been doing well to get them done in 4-6 days. I haven't submitted any in a couple of weeks, so I don't know if they're more backlogged now or caught up some. I need to get off my butt and write more, but I just can't get it going. I've got a list of great topics, and have thoughts running through my head, but spending the time to get a good lengthy article out of them is killing me.

I had to resubmit the first one with sitings which was stupid because I wrote the article from my own knowledge of the breed of dog I own. So i just went and found a website that said basically the same thing I did and threw it in there to satisfy them at this point if they don't accept I am going to delete it.

If these are the first 3 articles and/or you are submitting them for upfront payment, then you do have to wait for close to a week. After you have had 3 articles publsihed, you can choose to bypass review and publish them instnatly if you are not asking for upfornt payment.
