I admit it... I'm a big spender on material things... Not literally means clothes or beauty stuffs. I love buying nonsense stuffs which is not necessary. I can also spend 500 pesos in one day which is quite very big. I really want to save money but I can't there's a lot to SPEND... Err, you know what I mean? Can you guys share me ideas and advices how to spend my money wisely? You can also share your thoughts regarding SPENDING MONEY... Thanks in advance...

Whenever i get the urge to buy something, you know, when the mood to shop but not for anything specific, I hit the garage sales or flea markets. It gives me opportunity to get the shopping out of my system, find really unique and interesting things, and not spend to much. Your money goes alot further that way, plus they are good places to find what you need if you are on a budget. Of course you may have to look around alot more to find the quality your looking for, but a lot of times you can find things in almost perfect condition for very little. On the other hand if you are more worried that you just don't have good self control with your money, try setting yourself out a budget. For instance, if your monthly bills (all the nessecities, food, gas, cost of living, ect..) were to equal $1800, then allow yourself maybe $2000-$2200 for the whole month. What i do is my paychecks get directly deposited into my savings account, but in my checking account I only keep enough to cover all the cost of living and a little extra. At the beginning of the month I withdraw my whole monthly buget from my savings account and deposit it into my checking account, and then thats all the money I get for the month, so I know to spend wisely. This way I save some every month by not spend my whole paycheck, because I can't get to it. Plus if something unexpected comes up, like car trouble or an emergency, I know the money is there in my savings account because I don't ever spend more than I need.

No I don't and at the end of the day mess up with the funds. this is a beautiful and useful thought that U spend wisely on the material or immaterial things. One has to take care of the same to stay away from the bad time that one has to face when he/she doesn't spend wisely.

Well, I am an impulsive buyer especially when it comes to shoes and shirts. I am also thinking how I can really minimize my expenses. I am not an expert when it comes to saving money but there is one thing I can tell you. Save half of the money you have earned and put it in the bank :p

I think you should plan what you want to buy. Make a list for item which are important and which are not. By planning 1st, we will how much are suppose to spend.

Do you earn money or you spend your dad"s purse. If you are using your dad then you will only come to know the value of money when you will earn at your own and if you earn and spend then it is an other case. I think if you enough money it should be used or spent on need based. We should by only the quantity of things to the requirement. You can also spend on luxuries if you are living a luxeriios life. I will advise you to save for the rainy day and one day you will realize I am right. Please do not mind and have a nice day commenting on me.

There is really a lot of temptation in this world, it is really the main reason why I do spend my money extravagantly...

it's really hard to know for me if i am spending my money wisely. what i know is i am able to adjust on whatever amount of money i have on my hands. if you are a mother, you will know that there are an unlimited number of things that you should prioritize to buy. everything is PRIORITY. I am able to allot things for these kinds of things but when it comes to savings, that is really one of my weakness.

Yeah, maybe I really should prioritize those things I need... Maybe I'll just Spend extravagantly if I have my own work already but I really can't resist SPENDING my money... It's more of attitude I think... Duh!

Right now yes i spend wisely because off all the gas price getting high and also the price offood has gone up,with all of these things going uo you really need to spend wisely, like for example instead of driving why not just ride on the bus or cab it would definitely be much cheaper and you can save money and another is spend your money only on neccesities like food and clothes,if you think that what you are buying is something that you dont need to live then why should you buy it?whats the purpose?have a nice day.

well when im still young im an impulsive shopper or buyer and as i mature it lessen but still at times i can be a spender especially i like something and obsessed by it...i guess all i can advice to you is think first if what you are going to buy is really needed or even if is it a necessity...or maybe just have enough money in your wallet so that you can only buy what is necessary and never used credit card while out malling..

I used to spend much on unnecessary things. But I am more of a careful spender now. I no longer spend my hard earned money on things that are not essential. I think that it is important for you to avoid going to shops where the temptation to buy those that are not important is so strong. Even if you do, before buying, you should ask yourself if it is worth spending money on something you do not need. Also, avoid bringing much money with you on a daily basis. The more money you have in your purse, the stronger the temptation of spending. Good luck!

In order to spend money wisely I feel a person need to look at money as though it is an investment, that is, what am I getting in the long run when I spend it as against saving it. What are my needs and wants? Am I just buying this item or services for pleasure, or is it because it is a need? These questions and more can help with how a person spend money. As for saving, if you find it hard to save, use the $1 a day method, that is, everyday you make an effort to put aside $1 and don't touch it no matter what happens. As the sum grows so does oyur motivation to save more.

It is difficult to give advice to you regarding your spending habits, as I don't know your living situation or other needs. I learned early to be thrifty or there would be days prior to my next paycheck when I'd have no money with which to buy food. This does not seem to be your case, so I'll only speak in generalities. Before going near a store, decide how much you can spend that day and leave the rest at home under lock and key. Next you must decide what it is that you need. Do you need food? Go to the grocery store or food market and purchase just the amount that you need. Do you need make up or other personal care items. Go to a store that sells the brand that you like. After you've made your purchase, do not look at anything else. Just leave the store. Go sit in the park or go home. If you don't need anything, don't go to the store. Never buy anything from one of those home shopping networks on TV. Use only case. Do not use a credit card until you have your spending habits under control.
