I bought a jackfruit flavored VCO today because I was having cough and flu for two weeks now and my doctor-teacher told us that it has a really good healing effect. He said he was already into wheelchair because of his arthritis but after taking VCO for a month, he was able to stand up and walk again. VCO could be taken orally. Some even use it as moisturizer and lotion and apply it externally. I tried applying it to my husband skin (he has psoriasis) and I hope it will work. How many of you have used VCO and did it help you? Hope you could reinfore my hope. Thanks a lot.

My only concern is how do you know a coconut oil is virgin? :) Jokes apart, I have myself heard of these good effects of coconut oil, though not specifically of VCO. In fact, for kids with dry skin, it is advised to apply coconut oil regularly to avoid the kids from scratching on their skins. Cheers! Ram

A friend in Florida grew up in Africa. She said her mother always used coconut oil on their skin when they were going to be out in the sun very long. It seems to have some SPF also, but I don't know what the number is.

My hon's mom bought one for us due to me reading about good for getting rid of head lice. It turned out that it was not a good idea for the hair since even after washing the hair out, it still feels greasy due to the oil of it. But when taken orally, it's good for you since it's natural with no other chemicals added to it and plus, very good to cook it with when making some food like instead of butter, use cocnut oil. I do not recommend using it for head lice since the stuff is pretty greasy and have to put something on your pillow if you do. It's great for moisturizing purposes too.

I think you are using the ordinary coconut oil because when I used the VCO, it doesn't feel greasy on my hair and on my skin. make sure its VCO.

My hon's mom got us the extra virgin coconut oil which was stated in the direction from a ehow article. What a bunch of crap that article was. We had to liquify the stuff and in order to do that was microwave it. My oldest was in 1st grade and is now in 2nd frade. She got it from someone at school and it passed on to me and my other two girls. Well, i caught it in time before the thing succeeded in my now 8 month old girl. Hated that time and hope my oldest don't get it for this year.

In India using coconut oil is an everyday thing. Specially it is used to apply on the scalp or hair and some people use it for cooking also. Coconut oil is very good and has many benefits too. But I do not know what is Virgin Coconut Oil. Is it the same as normal coconut oil? Is the name virgin added just for publicity or its a special type of coconut oil? Anyway try it on your husbands skin and hope it helps.

I think they call it virgin because its the clear white part that you take after manufacturing it. they say you let the yellow substance subside and then decant the clear white that appears on top. that's what my classmate told me. its the same as making the "yellow" coconut oil.

I've tried using virgin coconut oil. Although it is costly, it is very effective to cure different sickness and even beautify your skin too!

Hello, I have heard about some medicinal properties of virgin coconut oil although I haven't tried it yet. I heard that it's also good for weight loss. Have you noticed any slimming down since you started taking VCO? What about your doctor? Anyway, there are many VCO products in the market today so I'm quite certain it is effective. It's just not as popular as papaya whitening soap and MET but I'm sure the demand for this product will grow in the next few years.

I cannot tell you yet if I am indeed losing weight with VCO because I have a thyroid problem and it is adversely affecting my weight. A friend of mine told me that her goiter was healed when she took VCO but then again, the effect varies from person to person. It's famous already but some prefer making it on their own instead of buying OTC (over-the-counter) VCO. I bought the Splash made VCO.

I love this stuff! I have never eaten it as I am always counting calories, but I know others who do include it in their diets. I think it is a wonderful massage oil! It smells good and leaves me feeling so soft the next day. I might try taking a bit of it each day and see what it does to my digestive system.

I have heard that virgin coconut oil is really a good herbal medicine..It really is good for the body they said. I have never tried it yet but I might since I have heard so much about it. If it ain't bad for our health then there's no harm in giving it a try.

I had forgotten all about the healing properties of VCO. I have some in my refrigerator at home. I think I will have some when I get home from work. Thanks for the post.

I always hear that on a news tv and radio program, virgin coconut oil they always make jokes out of the word virgin. They say you'll going pretty again if you take this regularly. I am really sick of those different food supplement I know most of them not effective at all. But my grandfather asking me to buy 1pack for him. His a stroke victim, he is also high blood. That is why his excited to use it since most people who testify are all positive experience. They all heal by the VCO. I will try it if it is really effective.

Never heard of VCO being good for you. I've heard of Apple Cider Vinegar working wonders...even for animals. The only thing is that it tastes and smells so bad noone in our family will even try it, not even our dogs.
