..... well it doesn't seem to matter because he doesn't agree with my perception. Sometimes I feel like the world's greatest biatch but friends and others close to me tell me I am not perceived in this way at all. How is it that some people get such skewed views of themselves???? My husband just told me that he notices I'm feeling a bit stressed lately and that he has been looking online for some affordable airfare. He wants to give me a weekend away all by myself. He did this for me last year too. I went away to Santa Barbara, California for 4 days of time alone walking the beach and having no worries. I think I will take him up on his offer again. For discussion purposes, can you recommend any great get away spots? And if it is somewhere you are familiar with, can you recommend something I should make sure I do while I am there? I prefer something with a beach. And it needs to be in the contiguous US, possibly Canada.

Well you are a lucky one to have youre husband treat you like a princess but acting like one then you have to be careful because if you end up using that power too much it will go terribly wrong because he will end up not treating you as a princess so becareful not to use youre power too much. And if you cant do that try anyway.

Oh, I don't act like a princess, that is for sure. And you'd have to know my husband, but he is surely not one to reward THAT kind of behavior. No, I just feel like I am moody and hard to be around when I'm under stress.

I think that is absolutely wonderful, you have a real keeper there in your husband, I live in the city of montreal, which is a marvelous place but I think it would be better to see it with your husband.

We would love to visit Montreal together. I've never been to Canada at all and would love to go.

It's good to know you think he's a keeper, winterose. I've kept him now for almost 20 years. Haha

I cannot really give you any recommendations. I have been north of Seattle, to a church camp called Warm Beach Camp. It was near enough that when we came back the kids I was sponsoring and I stayed in Seattle for a couple of days. Seattle is great and very entertaining. I guess somewhere that you could visit near Seattle would be great. I lived in Imperial Beach, Ca. outside of San Diego. San Diego is wonderful, too. I loved the plant life, and of course the beaches.

It is hard to believe I have not yet been to Seattle or San Diego, consider how interested I am in seeing both of them. Excellent suggestions, Gerty. Thanks.

Yes, I am jillhill. We decided early on in our marriage to make travel a priority. We don't have a lot of the nicer things that some people have, but we have some pretty incredible memories of wonderful travel.

Well I don't live in a fancy house either but I do take alot of trips compared to others.....I love seeing different things and meeting different people! Good for you. I hope you have a final destination soon.....if it weren't for the storms or impending hurricanes and bad weather I would suggest Myrtal Beach? In the Carolina's...I hear it's a wonderful place to visit. My next trip will be to New York. I am very excited about that!
