My wife has just had some specs. made which are varifocals. The type where you move your head slightly to view the suject you are looking at as opposed to bi-focals. She has had trouble with them as they make her dizzie so is going back to bi-focals. Does anyone else have this problem?

I've never warn that type of glasses before, but from what you say the problem would make sense. I can't imagine having to move my head to see what iam looking at. With my very poor balance, that would make me dizzy too. Best of luck going back to the original bifocals that she is used to.

Yes it was difficult for her but she is okay with her new bi-focals now. Thanks for posting.

My husband is the only one in our family that wears eyeglasses. They are bi-focals also. He said they give him a headache to look through them for a long period of time. I bet he would really have problems with the arifocals too.

I've had bi-focals now for around 40 years and have never had any trouble but I would not fancy these vari-focals they make now. Thanks for you post.

Is that without the visible lines? I've know it need some adjusting to this thing. the more one use it the more the eyes would adjust to it. I have 2 sets one with bi-focal and one for my computer, I don't normally use the bi-focal one so every time I use it I have a hard time at first and after a while I tend not to notice it anymore and use the right angle for the right purpose.

Yes you have the idea. If she wanted to look to the left or right she had to move her head which as a bi-focal wearer myself I have never had to. She is okay now she's back to her bi-focals. Thanks for posting.
